I use a cheap 1500 watt ceramic in my 7 x 14 and unless the temps get down below 40 outside it will keep the trailer a toasty 72 degrees only running on low which is 750 watts. They are about the safest heating alternative out there in my opinion. For the best ceramic heater it needs to have a decent fan to move the air around. I have a couple that have the same wattage but the fans just barely push any air and they will not keep the living space comfortable.

Howdy All;

When I first bought my trailer I was on my way to the West Yellowstone area.
Yea, it was mid June but the night time temps were down in the low 30's and high 20's.
Uninsulated, brandy new trailer and I used my oil-filled electric heater. Thermostat was set
at 70* and set on low ... stayed comfortably warm and the heater was cycling on and off.
time between cycles was on 15 - 20 minutes and off 20 - 30 minutes. Kinda nice I thought...
This exactly what I used; http://www.walmart.com/ip/Honeywell-Ene ... k/38205402
to keep me comfortable in ~ 546 cu/ft.
