Thanks guys! In the last couple days I have gotten carpet on the side walls, painted the floor, and then I started to cut down the trim rings so that I wouldn't have to build up the wall around the windows as I had originally planned. Things are moving!ImageImage

It just dawned on me how crazy some of the things we do look to the rest of the world. When you said you were carpeting the walls and painting the floor, I thought wait a minute, isn't that suppose to be the other way around. Haha  keep up the good work. It's looking good.

The whole time I was working on that it didn't even occur to me that it was backwards

Great work on restoring the ole girl.

Couldn't help but notice, is your trailer axle welded to the trailer frame, aka no suspension whatsoever?

Those pictures do look like that don't they? But no, there is a torsion axle on there. It is completely seized though so there might as well be no suspension. Replacing the axle is definitely on my list, but not quite at the top

Nice work! I just ordered a new 5x8. I would’ve bought used but all the used ones here in constructionopolis are only a hundred dollars less than new and in worse condition than what you got.

I've been meaning to post an update! We got it into useable shape and spent a month in it last summer driving from Idaho to Ohio, Texas, and California with two adults and an 18 month old. It was a blast! I started grad school in the Fall so I really haven't touched it since last summer. I am hoping to pull it out to make some adjustments and use this summer in Michigan. Hopefully I will be able to add a few more pictures in the next month or so!
