Picked up my trailer yesterday... first thing to do is install the A/C, so I can then insulate it in comfort.

Congratulations! Lets see some pics.

AC may struggle until you are insulated.

Since I have a carport, even with 90 degrees outside I think the trailer will cool down pretty well being out of the sun. I'm real busy with work right now, so I won't get but maybe 4 hours a week to work on the trailer for the next few months.

I got the longer side well insulated this week, plus the window A/C hatch installed in the side of the trailer. Since my trailer is under a carport it got cold inside in just a couple of hours this morning. So blessed....

Let's see if I can post some pictures... I reduced them down to 25% and they still are large for some reason.

Here's the hatch for my little 5000 btu A/C to slide out. I like simple..... slide the unit in and close the hatch when traveling or the A/C is not needed. I will install a small rain diverter over the top of the hatch one day soon.

Nice hatch! What size did you go for? Hard to find?

The 18x18 that I bought on eBay fits my Frigidaire 5000 unit perfectly.

Got my 6x12 fully insulated and now ready to build what I will call a laptop desk in the front V of the trailer. Working one handed as I tripped and fell and cut my hand on a sharp piece of metal as I went down. These stitches will keep me working slow for 8 more days until they come out.

Oh no! Sorry to hear you injured your only hand. That must be discouraging. Glad to hear you are all insulated. I can't imagine how challenging it must be to work one handed.I find myself needing 3 hands sometimes! Hang in there!

I have two hands... but one of them is now injured, so I'm using the other one.

Sorry, I read that quickly and somehow thought you just had one hand to start. Lol. Hope the stitches heal fast in any case.

My ceiling is insulated well... I thought about using 1/4" plywood to cover the insulation. Anything else you like that is easy to work with?
