I may go with the drop step after I flip my axles on the springs. I bought a step to put on, but with these drop axles there did not appear to be enough clearance... at least not where I'd be comfortable with it hanging down there.

The aluminum slide out step on my Featherlite trailer was a $375 option. I convinced my self that I should buy it by imagining all the different ways I could injure myself without the step. As I grow older, I am more prone to injury and, more importantly, with increasing frequency I do dumb things resulting in bad consequences.
