I've never tried any Camp Chef products. I still use the old Colmans. Campeche was tougher fishing for me this winter. Lots of wind and a couple of cold fronts. We still caught tarpon every day we could get out, but earned every one of them. Jan-Feb is always a little gamble. It would be better now!

:? A weird weather year. It's been spring here for over a month, but the best part was Crescent City, CA the last week of January where it was in the mid-70s all week. Unheard of and awesome. Surfers and beachcomers were out in force. It was like Baja in the winter without leaving home. I got a sunburn and immediately blamed it on Al Gore. :FNP

I usually burn 5-6 cords of wood each winter here in the arctic barren wasteland of SW Wyoming, but this year I've barely burned two. The lake I live on is usually frozen for 3 months, but there was no ice this year. I'm not complaining though! Bring on the warmth. It was a perfect winter for me. Warm and dry where I live, and "just right" moisture in Idaho and Montana where I'll be fishing this summer. Win-win.

The moisture will return, whether later this spring, next year, or whenever. Same with the bitter cold. (Just ask the east-coasters). I'll take it nice when I can get it.

Please send some here. I am sick of this wet and cold spring here in the East. But at least I was able to get out and catch a 31.5 in Striped Bass in the brief lull.

I saw a guy wearing a t-shirt that said: "Sorry I couldn't come to work last week. My arm was in a cast."

Picture of a fly fisherman below that.

Jim's t-shirt should say, "Hey, I worked all week with my arm in a cast, and so did my clients."

The World's Coolest Campers NOT Named Airstream

https://www.yahoo.com/travel/coolest-campers-in-the-world-114164451057.html

Always my favorite: the sheepherder's wagon/trailer.

(But it needs to have a sheet metal, fiberglass or vinyl roof for durability and tandem axles for towability, like a CT.)

8) Quaint V-nose interior from yesteryear with a few modern additions.

I bet those tip outs flip-flap-flop in the wind like a tent trailer. They would in my neck of the woods anyway. :) Part of the reason I went with a hard body cargo trailer is to just say no to canvas/plastic in any form.

Gonefishin, Howdy;

You too Prem, that hybrid (with the soft slide out), is like
some I've seen stop here in breezy NM. they have adjustable
struts in them that snug'em up fairly tight. One prospector that
camped next to me only experienced flapping when the winds
got up above 45 or 50 mph ... give-r-take. Fairly stiff fabric plus
some insulation.
