And in a pinch... Prepper meals on the hoof.
I've butchered a few over the years, but to me, it's just too much work, when Publix is right down the road.
The same goes for rabbit. After filling the freezer, I have six left that I continue to feed... My original breeding stock.
IMO, rabbit doesn't taste like chicken. Chicken actually has flavor.
Chickens are entertaining too. Rabbits just sit there and glare at you.

Wow! That is some kind of beautiful woodworkin'. That's just my style as well. Pretty sure I was born in a barn, but I think I could live in one and be pretty darn happy. The wife, not so much.... So anyways, I have a sliding "pocket door" in my trailer similar to your bath door. I reused an old door from the Ice Room in our house. It's 125 yrs old but I can't toss stuff like that. Just be sure you have a way to pin that slider or it will beat the hell out of itself and anything in the area when you travel. Ask me how I know...

I've been thinking about something like this for a latch. A notch in the arm that drops over the keeper, and it would work for a slider.
I've seen them on cabin doors and always thought they were cool.



I wasn't born in a barn, or on a farm, but barns, pastures, and corn fields were my playground as a kid.
I grew up in a neighborhood surrounded by northern Illinois dairy country. This was the view out my bedroom window...



I guess it's still in my heart........
Probably explains all these damn animals.

For the sake of keeping my thread going...
Not a whole lot going on these days. Temporary downtime at work.
Why does it always have to be either, No time to work on it, or plenty of time to work on it, but no money to spare for materials?
I've been working on odds and ends with the lumber that I already have. I have my drawer boxes built and have run some of the trim, but I need finishing lacquer so that I can permanently install the cabinets. Which I need to do before fitting the trim. I also need to buy drawer slides.
I've also been working on an enclosure for my porta-potty, that I'll post a picture of when it's finished.

Here's the trim on one of my windows.
The countersunk screws will get wooden plugs, once they're finished and permanently installed.

Potty enclosure...
It's a close fit so it won't tip on the road.
The board across the front at the bottom lifts out for servicing, so I can slide the toilet far enough forward to reach the latches that hold the top (water tank) to the bottom (holding tank)



It really fills up the little bathroom,
but there's still enough leg room to sit, or to stand at the sink.

Some things are just easier to buy, and a whole lot less expensive in the long run.

Wow! I just looked at my starting date and it's been over a year.
Other duties have been calling lately, so I'm on an extended break.
I always hear the call of the sea around this time of year. That's part of it.
My new goal is, camping in the fall...
Seems like I said that a year ago.
