Its sort of mine!

Yeah it's all 12vdc but I doubt the fan is moisture proof like ad claimed one ad for lights claims water resistant one says no.
But water moisture is all that should hit them as I'm only 5'3" and they are over 6'
When I worked for Stanley we could get all kinds of those tabs. I like the clear one that I used buy door but don't want the screws.

Went looking for hoses for my Mr. Heater. Stopped a few places and was told "order from Amazon". I hadn't planned the shopping trip and left my TSC coupon at home. Stopped there on my way out of town. They had 10' hoses and filters and one Y. I grabbed 1 of each but will return with my coupon for my discount. Then I'll get 1 more filter and 1 more hose.

I didn't put the furnace in my CTC that I recovered from the donor camper. I have heard the fans in the furnaces are power drains, and I could not find a good spot for it. What do you think about the Mr. Heater? Do they work well? I am thinking that is all I will need.. especially since for the near term I will be camping in the South.

So far I only used it that one time. And I had concerns to sleep with it on. So I'd heat up the CTC and shut it off. It has a safety but ...
I'm going to attempt using it constantly. It's me, I'm not OCD, but I am a little bit of a control freak. But if you have the money get the one with the thermostat.
The hoses I bought are 10' my plan is to use one for heater and one for grill. Those will share a propane tank. The hot water heater will be on another. Neither will be mounted to trailer. I'm thinking a plastic tool box on tongue for the hose's storage. The heater hose will go through CTC wall with an electric cord closure. The grill will just store in tool box. I keep thinking about mounting a tank on tongue- just don't like the looks.

My Mr. heater Heater does a great job for me. I have used it with the trailer, in a large 10'x20' tent and in my garage.
But I would not have it on while sleeping no matter what vent or window I leave open.

So what do you do at night when it is really cold? Do you just pile up on blankets and then turn it on first thing in the AM?

How cold does it get in Florida!
I have an electric heater to use if I have shore. Im might be foolish enough to try the Mr heater all night but only if I had a thermostat model. Which I just saw isn't a feature ! .

When that was my only heat source, that is exacrly what I did. But it was during hunting season, I used 2 sleeping bags and a ton of blankets and I did not have to worry about my wife liking it or not. Actually I was very comfortable, even down in the 20's. I did this even before my CT was in the picture while sleeping in the back of my covered pickup. Getting up was the challenge.

I too have a Mr. Heater. It works great to take a chill off the garage and to warm things up. When camping, we take it to give a little warmth outside on a cool morning if we don't have a fire.

One other thing to keep in mind with the Mr Heaters is the amount of water vapor it puts in your CT.

I am in the same situation. I have the little buddy heater and have not used it yet. Will not use it while sleeping cause I don't want to DIE like that. Read a few of the true stories out there and you wont even consider it. Tragic.

Yes load up on sleeping bags and blankets. I sleep in a sweat shirt/sweat pants/socks/ and a Bennie cap for my head and ears. I have had to wear a hoody over that before also. The hours of 4-7am are the most brutal but I am up by 430 or 5ish so that's when the heat will come on.

Some of the very best camping/riding in Ocala is when the morning temps drop down to upper 30s-40s. It shuts down most peoples urge to camp and thins the crowd considerably.

Hey rainner.. I have gotten lots of water droplets on my ceiling when I did use my portable propane stove to heat the trailer on those cold mornings. Is there any way to prevent this?

Thanks.

Insulation will help.. it is the temperature differential on the metal surface that causes the condensation. The only way to stop is to reduce the difference.

You will notice the same principle with an insulated cup for your cold drink or just a plain old glass.

Also need to seal up air leaks to lower the availability of humid air .. but just your breathing alone will cause some humidity. BUT you need ventilation for the gas heater.
