Iconfabul8 … thanks for the feedback and links … yes, $260 to add the remote start to the Honda is a bit pricey for me … a friend has the Champion model which appears to be another good generator … however it weighs 95lb empty … which is beyond my comfortable lifting capacity.

By the way, Dr. Dyno, who is a retired electrical engineer, said that he parallels his Honda 3000is with a smaller Honda 2000i without problems, even though the Honda web page says that “you can only parallel two identical units together”.

I have a Honda 2200i and a Powermate 2000 … I am wondering if I could parallel these two units together without doing damage. However, I am not inclined to take the risk absent further information from others who have successfully paralleled dissimilar units.

Tonight I read your build so far. Nice trailer and excellent insulation installation! It pays to get the insulation right. This winter when I'm not using my trailer as much I plan on getting the exterior floor insulated and covered. I like the coreplast for a covering but am still exploring other options.

Thanks ... so far, my interior is pretty primitive with few features ... I am still experimenting with alternatives ... so far, almost everything is temporary and removable.

Good advice on the 3K Honda, my 23 year old EU1000i is still running fine, but I have never used the OE Aux gas tank, that is still in the box.

AC sounds good to me.

Wow ... that 2019 Honda Super Cub (125cc) reminds me of the 1969 Honda Cub (50cc) I used to ride ... it was a real dog ...the extra 75cc will be a great improvement ... hope you enjoy it!

I will have to keep a close eye on it. I had a Honda PCX 150 stolen a while back. It was too fat to get in my condo. But a BSA 650 I could ride in.

Many bikes over the last 51 years. Honda Sport 50 was the first. I have a picture of me ‘making it better’ as I hacksawed off the fenders... LOL

Oh my gosh ... I had a 1968 BSA 500cc Royal Star ... I relate to making things "better" by hacking things up ... I had a 1947 Knucklehead in 1970 ... I tore off all the stock metal and turned it into a chopper ... destroyed it ... if I had left it stock and had it today it would be worth $140k

My most valuable now bike was a ‘67 Matchless G15CSR. Very rare.

I really miss it. Way better than any Commando I had. I rode only Limey bikes for decades.

I like to ride small bikes on grass. Always have.

Interesting. This is the first install I have seen on the tow vehicle rather than on the trailer.

I think I would put the rear most panel on a tilting rack and drive with it at an angle so that it bumped the air flow up over your CT. You'd probably have to clean the bugs off pretty regular though! Maybe add a removable plexiglass cover over it to protect it if you tilted it.

I camp overnight in my truck more often than in the trailer and so I need the batteries to power my devices when I do not have the trailer. Also, my trailer is stored under roof more often than not in which case my solar panels would not be holding my batteries in float during storage. On the other hand, my truck is in the sun many hours during the day.

You have an interesting idea. My trailer is 3 feet taller than my truck. I wonder if tilting the rear panel would provide sufficient air flow over the top of the trailer to make a difference in fuel mileage.

featherliteCT1, Howdy;

Best to raise it some, take it for a drive and check the "bug line". When
you have it right you shouldn't see a "bug line" on the front of your CT.
Of course when not pulling the CT you'll want it to lay flat so something
that is repeatable and adjustable would work best.
