Got the rough fit. Now I need to get the triangle piece built up the the same level as the shower sill and get the 1.5 in deep faux wall behind to accommodate plumbing.

In any case, this is the rough shape and the ]toilet really benefits from the 3.5 inch lift.. at least for my ergonomics. Barefoot in the shower I have about an inch clearance. That was my thought when I got the trailer interior raised to 6.5 inches. Having the drain under the trailer would've added a level of complexity with a sump pump to get gray water into tank, and I'd rather not deal with that.

Bracing up the floor. Only covering with .5 inch plywood to save height.

flboy, Howdy;

You do such great work then I saw this one photo with an outlet right next to your water cut-off
valves. All those potential leaks less then an inch from what looks like a 110vac outlet :shock: .
Now I know you know what you're up to and truly your work is beyond reproach but that, I'm :thinking:
has Don finally gone 'round the bend???

Just being curious :NC

Hi Hank, yes it is a little closer than I'd prefer for sure, but I have it on a GFCI breaker so any potential moisture that results in a current through safety ground will break the circuit. It is a metal outlet with safety ground on the case.

It is common, even in houses to have outlets under the sink to plug in dishwasher and disposal,.albeit a little more off to the left or right. In this case, it is where things ended up based on a guess when I was adding wires inside the walls early on in the build. The wire feeding the outlet is in the wall. The wire coming down, is a daisy chain to the microwave outlet which goes back in a wall up to the top shelf.

Getting there on the shower.

I will start covering all the wood with FRP next. I just use some Liquid Nails to bond it to the plywood. It is relatively easy to work with.

Some incremental progress today. I hope to get the FRP into the bathroom tomorrow and possibly hang the water heater. Still looking for the appropriate size vent stack to fit the heater. I have an idea.. will be looking for the right size can at the grocery store tonight. Lol

Had to hold off on bathroom while I await a few Pex fittings ( 3/8 compression to 1/2 pex). I am going to use flexible hoses like on the sink for the last 6 inches to the Water Heater and Shower. The rigid Pex make it too hard to connect and also to connect without some preloaded stress on the pipes

In the meantime I am building the open shelves I will mount along the roofline. The are 12 inches high by 9 inches wide. 12 inches wide just felt to constrained in the aisle way. With 10 total feet of shelf space, I should have plenty of storage.

Here is the 6ft for the door side. Of course it needs paint and I may add some decorative trim . Building the 4 ft shelf for over the couch now.

Building these out of a single 8*4 sheet of 1/2 Birch plywood. Thank God for the table saw that allows me to rip this stuff real clean.

Got the 4 footer done too. Letting all the glue dry, the I will also add some wood screws, then sand, paint and trim.

I had bought some already made 12*12 inch cabinets from Lowes, but returned them. They had particle board in the sides. I don't think they would have lasted long at all with the expected off road roughness. Also, I felt that 12 inches stuck out too far from the wall in this 6 ft wide trailer. Light plywood with glue, nails (brad nails to hold together for gluing), and screws should hold together. These are also about a 3rd of the weight. Decide to go with open shelves as well. I suppose I could add doors later, but I am going to start this way with baskets on the shelves.

Nice lookin' shelves you've put together. :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
Is that 'D' ring on the bumper an attachment point for the security system?

Hi Hank. Thanks. Yes, the D-ring is for the security system. I have the upgraded Lexus K9 system. I have another attachment point by the front door as well.

Primer_sealer is on. Will paint tomorrow..Also have some baskets coming Saturday that will sit down inside to hold stuff. Since I have these done for the most part, I may try to panel and finish at least the door side wall this weekend. Not expecting my Pex adapters until Monday.

No, I will be installing it sometime later next week.. but it is just a grey water tank. Using a Thedford 365 for a toilet and it has its own 5 gallon holding tank that dumps like a cassette toilet. I have no problem letting loose shower water in discrete places where it causes no harm or runoff. Just a minimal amount of biodegradable soap and 14 gallons of water. Not much different than somebody washing their car in the driveway or an outside shower tent setup, or etc.. . No food stuffs or grease as I wipe plates and etc. very clean before I wash them in the sink just to sanitize. I will dump it in a dump station if available of course.

I am leaving space and infrastructure to be able to install a black tank and proper toilet if this portable doesn't work out well for me... I am trying to avoid having to find places to dump a black tank. I can dump the 5 gallon cassette in a lot more places. Finding dump stations became a problem for me last year when I was boondocking a lot. Usually went to truck stops and had to pay $10 or some were free with fill up if you could find them.

Grey tank install should be straightforward.. will just be using some threaded rods as hangers and using some leftover 1x1 steel for support. I bought my tank the exact width to fit between two floor joists and tighten up against the underside of the floor. I will be finishing the plumbing video when I have that in.\

I am striving to have this CTC done and travel ready in the next two weeks. Working against a deadline to get out to Nebraska before August 3 and I want to take my time getting there. My plan is for this to be the maiden voyage. Taking the KTM-690R with me for some off-road adventure along the way.

flboy, Howdy;

A lot of RV Parks have a 'spare hole' for folks that need one. Generally they
have a dump connection for folks such as yourself that can boondock but
have a need to dump very so often. So, quit passin'em by might be cheaper
then the truck stop.

Good morning Hank.. I have used an RV park once or twice. Generally about the same cost.. but yes, an option. If the Thedford 365 ends up being more trouble than its worth.. I'll have to do that.
