With summer-fall camp season winding down I decided to pull all the stuff out and reorganize everything. Like with everything as you use something you keep finding places to make improvements. I decided that the carpet I installed is hard to clean. It is nicer that stepping on plywood in bare feet. Everywhere we camp is dirt, sand, mud, etc. So I decided to give the interlocking foam mats a try. I took out the carpet, vacuumed out all the sand and dirt that had collected under it. Shook it out really good, vacuumed it, then used it as a pattern to cut the foam pads to shape. I decided to put the carpet back in for an added layer of insulation I guess. Then I installed the foam pads over the carpet. I have a feeling that eventually I'll put in an engineered wood floor at some point. But for now its the foam pad simulated wood.Looks good, we'll see how it holds up.







Spare tire mounting seems to pop up all the time. Mine is mounted inside using an E-track tire holder. Keeps the weather off it and in my mind is more secure than being outside.

Have at least one other that has the foam pad floor. He sorta like it a lot IIRC.
Looks good, just don't put a hot chunk of cast iron on it.

No worried there, hot pans stay outside!

Added this little hatch in case I ever want to run a propane hose or other cable like thing into or out of the trailer. Even with the wood stove I occasionally run my Big Buddy and it would be nice to put the propane tank outside.

Tested out the new flooring and it worked fine. Just coming into winter camping season here.Well that's if it ever cools down. Floor worked good. Able to sweep out the messes so that's a plus.

Brought along my -35 mega bag and it was way too much! Normally this time of year we'd be looking at lows in the 20f's and highs just below 40f. We had lows in the 30's and highs near 70!



Regardless I fired up the wood stove in the morning and before bed at night. Tested out boiling water on top and it works great for that.



We had plenty of outdoor fire wood too!

We went Spelunking and dirt road exploring and black powder shooting was a good long weekend!

Man, That is some beautiful country. What a treat to camp there in winter, with that kind weather.

It’s the Bonfire. Yes I’d buy it again. It’s great. I bought it through Kickstarter when they first came out with it. I’ve had it for close to three years now and we use it on every camp trip and at home.

I also have the solostove light, the backpack stove. Use it all the time for cooking and boiling water for coffee and tea when camping.

Installed a Power Tank bracket for my 5# propane tank. Took less then 15 minutes. Nice bracket and should hold up.

I bought the tank locally from our employee owned BiMart. The tank is a 5# Manchester propane tank. Flame King makes one that is the same and can be found online.

Flame King is **not** the same as Manchester, nor Worthington.

Not saying terrible, but the latter are better made
