Any report on Sturgis, Don? Looks like things were touch and go for a while, but it eventually happened.
I will get a video up late this week when I get back to my son's house in Nebraska. Sturgis is full on. All the nearby towns like Deadwood and etc. are also full on. It is hard for me to say if there are more or less than usual since this is my first... but feels a lot like Bike Week in Daytona as far as the bike traffic (stop/go) and fender to fender on the main streets. The difference to me seems to be that all the towns in a 100 mile radius participate and have events. Bikers are all over the place, albeit spread out. Campgrounds are full.
Having a great time. We did a 305 mile loop out to the Badlands yesterday and of course had to stop into Wall Drugs... what a tourist trap that is. The day before we rode out to the Devil's tower in Wyoming. All nice rides. Also did the " Eye of the Needle" after Mount Rushmore on Friday. That was a lot of fun. Nice tight corners and beautiful scenery. Not sure what we will ride tomorrow.. will figure that out later.. I am getting use to the crosswinds on the roads. Seems like I rode 70 miles yesterday leaning over into the side wind... was glad when we the road turned and the wind was at our backs.
It is all good! My wife seems to be enjoying herself as well and is a great passenger.
