Hey Don,
Haven't installed flooring yet. It should be pretty straight forward. It only goes in cargo area and on ramp, no obstructions.
Cargo area is 6x8, ramp 6x6. flooring 7.5x14 so IF I can cut a straight line it should be pretty routine. Listen, if you decide to do Sturgis, let me know. This will be my 20th. We are only a couple hundred miles away, so It's pretty easy for us. Also, if you are wanting to see some more of the Dakota's, Wyoming and Montana and Idaho, I'd be honored to have you stay with us if you'd like. We have LOTS of room and the small town life can be pretty relaxing as well. Maybe we could hook up and put some miles down on the scoots. I know some places we might be able to find an adult beverage or two. They have lowered the speed limit to 80 mph in Montana, but you can still make pretty good time. "Safe and Prudent" was working just fine, I thought. As long as your guns are visible and the driver is not drunk, open container was not an issue, now the passengers can't drink either. How are we sposed' get anywhere? This state is 900 miles across and if you have to stop at the watering holes, it could take a week. Anyways, it would be great to meet in person. Drag that Tommy boy along with you and I'll bet we could have an adventure to remember. ;)

I got some framing done today. A lot more to do. I have a little time tomorrow and then I am out of town for a week, so progress will not happen. I'll just keep chipping away at it.

If you notice the wire bundle dangling about an inch and a half away from the wall... yes, they were suppose to be in the wall. They are for the bathroom lights and fan. I'll have to move them over. I did my best to measure where I thought the wall would be when putting in the ceiling and I missed. I hope I can fix the hole with some wood filler. I will get some backing up there and hopefully that will look okay when all painted.

Looking good! What size shower did you go with? I'm a big guy and while a 32" fits my trailer better, a 36" would fit me better.

My shower pan is 24" * 24", but the way I am installing it, I will have another 11 inches of width in the front (35" wide) and taper down in the back to the 24" (my walls are at an angle). It is hard to explain, I'll take some picture when done. Also, I am using a shower curtain instead of a hard door.. that also is forgiving when you move around in the shower.

I am not wide, but about 6' tall... so it will work well for me. It is all a trade off on space.

Looking good there Don, don't worry about the wire, you aren't the first and won't be the last to put a hole in the wrong place. Hell I'm probably gonna have to use a little wire mold myself because I forgot a couple of wires that I planned to install. Take a break and enjoy your trip. Your CTC will be there when you get home. :)

Thanks Martin! I am taking a Youth Group to the Florida Keys for the week (with other adults also). It will be fun for sure. I will get a few Scuba Dives in I hope.. That is always relaxing! You know how it is though... I just want to keep working on the CTC to get it done.. Actually, I find that work relaxing also.

The Florida Keys are on mine and the better half's list of places to go in the near future, I've been once back in the 80's but don't remember much about the trip, even though I've heard rumors that I had a great time , supposedly there are pictures to prove it :D . Scuba diving is something I've always wanted to try.
Yes, working on the CTC is relaxing and I enjoy it, but I'm ready to get it finished myself and start using it. I hear N.Georgia and the mountains of TN and N. Carolina calling my name for some much needed two wheeling. The RoadKing is feeling kind of abandoned.

Martin... You will like the Keys, but I find the Mountains in NC just as nice, but in a totally different way if that makes sense.

I got some more framing done today. The electrical closet is framed and I built the riser for the shower to set up on so the plumbing can run underneath. Still a lot more to do there.

I figured I'd get the closet in so I can start the electrical hookups. That job is something I can do for an hour there and an hour there in the evenings without a large setup... I like to save the larger project for the weekend.

No more work on this until I get back next week. :(

flboy, Howdy;

Interesting layout you have going on. Just realized that you have a bit of a reach from the fridge
to the rest of the kitchen area. One fridge for 'Adult Beverages' and another for food type items?

It is not that far away and next to the dinette. It is the depth of the fridge... It would have required more floor space in the kitchen. Already had the depth used on that side for the bathroom. It was a compromise, but really, the camper is not that big. We will be getting drinks more often than cooking.

Yes makes alot of sense. I love the mountains, their probably my favorite place to ride. I lived in Tennessee for a couple years, about 40 miles east of Knoxville, in the heart of the Smoky Mountains. I've got adopted family that lives on the Eastern Cherokee reservation. Florida is my second home. A couple of years back, right after my grandmother passed I left here, rode to Savannah and followed the east coast down to Daytona, across to Tampa area and followed the gulf coast all the way back around to Mexico Beach then back home. It was a beautiful ride and I got to see parts of Florida I haven't seen in years. I love the live oak trees draped in Spanish moss and all the Spanish style architecture.

Enjoy your trip to the Key's .

Here's a pic of one of my favorite places to ride, the Cherohala Skyway.

The space above the fridge will be a panel with a Bluetooth Car Stereo (12VDC) and a cabinet door to access the TV antenna electronics and etc. Below, the fridge will be the water hookups, pump, etc.. I have another saddle tank for the other side. It will connect up by running a pipe underneath and connecting both at the pump inlet so the level off and pull both down evenly.
