Sorry, I don't. It might be a good consideration for someone looking to combine two Honda 2000i's. Slightly more then two 2000s, lower rating, but it does have electric start.

Re: Generac vs Honda generators

Hey, everyone, I just recently purchased the Champion 75531i 3100w inverter generator from Camping World. I toyed with the idea of purchasing a Honda EU3000i (which is a bloody brilliant machine), but it just wasn't in the budget. The Champion costs half of the Honda, so that's what I went with. I'm not very technical, so some of these descriptions may not suit the more advanced of you.

I unboxed it, filled it with oil, and it started first pull. On eco mode, it's amazingly quiet. Not on eco mode, it is slightly louder than the Honda. However, I put it at the front of my truck, and I couldn't hear it from inside my trailer.

It starts and runs my Coleman 13.5 A/C with no noticeable strain when the generator is not on eco mode. On eco mode, it flashes overload and then ramps up rpms. I've run it for approx 15 hours at this point, and only have two complaints:

1. Dang, it needs an extended run kit. Running the A/C, I get about 6.5 - 7 hours out of it.
2. Out of the box, my carb needs adjusting. The rpms rollercoaster about every 2-3 minutes, just go up and down for a few seconds, even with no load on it. Someone told me to adjust the carb. So I'm passing that on.

Other than those two things, I'm very happy with my purchase. I'm going to change the oil this weekend, and take it back out for another bunch of hours. Again, I haven't used it enough to give the greatest review, but hopefully it helps a few folks.
