Did the bed today. Bought two cabinets on sale for $20 each (normally $200 ea) to use as risers for the bed. The cabinets are 36"w x 24"d x 15"h. I cut a piece of 3/4 ply to the size of twin bed and it will span the two cabinets. The cabinets will be screwed to the floor and wall. The rear cabinet will be accessible from rear and will hold coleman stove n other kitchen stuff as well as tie downs and other road stuff. Plan to have a head board of sorts that will have a folding/dedtachable table to the rear to function as kitchen counter. Front cabinet will probably hold clothes, etc and there will be room for 4 tubs under the bed between the 2 cabinets.

More bed pics. Plan to make some changes tomorrow. Going to raise it a few inches for more room underneath and to provide some "hidden" storage

Looks good; the bed makes me sleepy and the cabinets were a great find :awesome:

Added a frame of 2x4's to raise bed height a few inches. I needed clearance for tubs underneath and it provides for some hidden storage of sorts

Nice compartments for storage. I plan on making every nook and cranny work as storage of one sort or another.

willfish4fud, Howdy;

When I was in the Navy, we called our beds (racks), that had under storage like that
"Coffin Racks", they were about 6 or 7 inches deep and that's where we were able to store
all of our 'stuff'', that and a shirt sized hanging storage that was about 6" wide. Memmmmorieeeeees :frightened: , :lol:

I like the "hidden" storage under the bed. Good use of space.

The cabinets came from a local building supply store (Hoods). they are real plywood and not particle board so they have the strength to support the bed. I got 5 cabinets for $20 each. the normal retail price was over $100 each. They are all wall cabinets. The ones in the front of trailer are 12" deep and are 18" tall by 36" wide. The ones under the bed are, I think, normally used for over refrigerator. They are also wall cabinets but are 24" deep and 15" tall by 36" wide.
The window came from a local RV supply place that sells new and used parts.

I have seen that before. Wish mine was a little deeper. I ended up with about 5 inches and one or two more would've been nice

Used another of the wall cabinets and installed it with some shelves yesterday.
