I checked the website and they have the usual disclaimers. "Not recommended for RV use". They do have specific models which of course cost more and they don't sell at Home Depot. I just can't see any difference.

Ok, found RVCOalarms are for unconditioned spaces. Alarms you buy in chain stores are only for conditioned space that does not move such as a home and have limited temperature and humidity extremes.. CO alarms have a maximum 6 year life and should be replaced every five (5) to six (6) years at a minimum. Examine the product and look for a replacement date because you will forget when you bought it and that could cost you your life. Most alarms made after 2009 have an audio signal and LED pattern that alert you to an end of life. UL in their wisdom finally added something that should be in all safety products and I applaud them for finally taking this step. But that leaves millions with old alarms that do not alert you to the when they need replacement. Please examine your alarm. If you have any question call the manufacturer. There is a date code on most alarms but you may need the manufacturer to help you find it and interpret it. One call can save your family.

"Many people store their RVs in the winter and some store them in summer in the desert where temperatures reach temperatures 122 °F (50 °C), Dry campers often spend a year traveling to locations with no hook ups so they use their generators or nothing. These stays can be for extended periods of time in the heat of summer and the freezing cold of winter using their generator, which is a good reason for all the extra testing at UL by itself. However, there is another important reason, that is the shock and vibration on the road and often on dirt roads or very bumpy gravel roads, which makes it important to have a special test protocols (including shock and vibration tests ,salt spray, corrosion and more) for listing carbon monoxide alarms used in all RVs."

I guess I'll spend the extra $30 and buy an RV UL-approved detector.

Slowly replacing the tools stolen earlier this year. Went with a dieless crimper for the big stuff. This one rated high.

Nothing worse than showing up at the shop and finding they broke in, swiped all the tools, and the alarm company didn't call.

I am pretty certain I can spray foam. I spoke with the manufacturer yesterday who indicates if I heat the interior space to at least 68F then there won't be problems. I will plan for a sunny October day and put the propane shop heater inside the trailer if needed. October in NM is fickle. It can be 35 and 85 in the same day.

The kit is $800 which will cover the ceiling and sides for sure. I would love to get some on the floor also. My buddy has a lift and said I can use it as long as the overspray doesn't mess with his shop. The ideal situation would be to jack it up and spray the underside to seal it, then cover with additional rigid foam and some protective barrier. The downside of foam is that I will need to rush and get the wiring and other stuff in place before I spray. I have a nice collection of parts assembled, but work is always the priority.

No word on delivery date yet. The dealer is going to check for me.

Checked on the status of my trailer and they still can't provide a delivery date - it has been almost six weeks.

I heard from dealer today on a delivery date: First week of December. Three months for an oversized tin can. I'm calling the manufacturer tomorrow.

Mine is through Look through the local dealer. I did not hear from the dealer today. I can't believe it takes that long. It is going to mess with using spray foam as it might be too cold.

It's here! I walked through it and the manufacturer made a big change. Instead of plywood or OSB they built it with Drimax on the floor and walls. I'll have to research. They also included a couple options I didn't order which works out in my favor.

Not sure about Drimax, but if it's DryMax then I believe it is a moisture resistant OSB.
