That's a great idea about the cabinets and such to hang on e-track. I did my TR boxes with French Cleats and those work great, so don't forget about those as options too for hanging cabinets.

Ok gang, a full summer under our belts traveling to events and camping in the CT. Wife loves it! It does require some careful organization when we have the bed down as a double, but plenty of room in bunkbed mode. Lots of comments from other campers in their huge 5th wheels, but when they visit my "working" camp they have a better appreciation on what the trailer is designed to do.

Shower base with solar shower has been a Blessing. Still trying to figure out a shower curtain mounting design I like!
Porta-potty for late night use has been equally embraced by both of us.
Magentic mount lights that you can stick to things has been wonderful for late night reading.
We figured out how to use clamps to rig tarps and have plenty of bug nets to keep out the critters.
We both like it much better than our old motorhome as we drop it and explore easily.

Important notes:
1. It is a cargo trailer that carries lots of show gear and then when empty is a camper - notice the order of priority
2. We had a motor home for many years and knew all the things we liked and disliked about it and took those into account for the build
3. I didn't want it so nice that I worried about scratches!
4. We like our toys along when we travel

Some build features:

1. Removable roof racks - easy conversion to stealth mode
2. Vinyl single piece floor- easy to sweep and replace
3. Shower base also holds porta potty when not in "shower mode" - Curtain acts as shower and privacy curtain
4. Full 30 amp plug in capable with 12 v power
5. propane cook stove with oven
6. Storage shelf mounted on e channel brackets for raising and lowering or just plain taking out
7. stacking storage chests with french cleats (really pleased with these!)
8. Many, many, many lights - both wired in trailer and portable battery operated
9. Outside patio light by door
10. Bug screens are attached with rare earth magnets and keep out bugs
11. Bed can be configured in couch, bunk bed or as a double bed (Bunks allow for most walking room for two people)
12. Ramp door for me is essential for loading and unloading my show camp - but if CT was ONLY for camping , I would choose barn doors
13. Wife really likes it and tells her friends about her "camper"
14. Ours is 6 foot wide by 6 foot high. Wider would be nicer for wiggle room but I wanted the 6 foot and am glad I went with it for my needs
15. It is a fun project to build and use - quit dreaming - do it!!!

I finally got to read the thread on your teardrop. What a beautiful piece of art! You would cringe at my lack of cabinetry skills but again, different uses and expectation of end result.

Battery venting

I was at an event a few weeks back when i heard a cannon go off. Its not an uncommon thing for some of the events I do, but this one was pretty early and not on the hour. Then I heard screaming and looked over to see my buddy fanning out flames under his modified golf cart. One of the batteries had exploded. I now understand the whole venting issue and let me tell you, VENT your battery. It also reminded me of another key thing. Carry a fire extinguisher that is easy to get to quickly.

Good post! My battery is vented but I don't have a fire extinguisher. Next time I'm at the hardware store I'm going to pick one up.
