Agree on the "donor" camper!! I got one free for removal and it has saved me thousands. I got the water heater, oven, holding tanks, wiring, windows, ladder, table, propane bottle and connections, and on and on to include even screws I had to remove. I had to refurbish some, but it is really worth it. I highly recommend it if you want to save some $ and yet have everything.

I didn't have a donor trailer but I spent a ton of time on ebay and CL looking for deals. That's half the fun....ugh. Also, I have a slight hoarding issue that prevents me from discarding useable materials and hardware and such. Not to say I can find it when I need it, but I've got one of those, somewhere. I did get my wet bath set up of ebay 100.00 shipped, and a RV Norcold fridge never used out of a boat 170.00, and I actually got my Mach III A/C-Heater for just the cost of shipping from a veteran of this forum. He lives about as far away from me as you can get and still be in in the same country, so shipping wasn't cheap, but the A/C was perfect! If your not in a hurry you can work around the really spendy items and re-use stuff and network and barter/trade etc. and then the little things like lights and pumps are more manageable. Oh yea, I also scored my WFCO 8955 from this forum. 50.00 plus shipping. again not cheap shipping but still half price and perfect. Even the trailer I found on CL and the guy who sold it towed it over from Rapid City in the winter! 1500.00 and lunch and drinks, made a good friend as well. Bargain. It's been quite a journey, but I enjoyed it.

Nice McDave. I know there are deals to be had. I spent a lot of time as well, but couldn't find a wet bath to save me. My family is from Newcastle Wy, where are you located? I'll be up that way soon!!

Well I'm just up the road from ya, Miles City area. I was just down in that neck of the woods in August. Rode over from Sturgis to Hulett and to Sundance and Aladdin and Devils Tower. It must have been upper 90's every day, 1 month later and we didn't break 50 today. Like I said, bring lots of warm clothes and dress in layers. Ya just never know... The farmers almanac is calling for cold winter, and that usually means really cold for us. Thank God we don't live in Fargo. If its -20 here, its -40 there. Those are some tough folks there. :o

Hey MAC,
Thought you might like to see what you'll be looking for. Taken with a bow this AM, about 5 miles from the MT/WY boarder. 20 miles west of MT/ND state line. Looks to be 800-900 lbs. His big brother is still out there.

I guess my 54" Jet Sled would not work for this beast.

They had to use a bail handler to get him out. You know the kind that is used for the big round bails. His nuts are football sized! Tough to ride a bicycle like that....just sayin'

Sweet elk. I wish we had them closer to me. As it is now I'd have to get lucky enough to get drawn for a tag in N. Carolina or Tennessee.

Hey MAC,
I don't know if you check here, or even can. But if you are still in Wyoming Elk hunting, put on yer long johns and check your propane supply. Big ol storm headed your way. Could be LOTS of snow in Wyoming. Hope you saved some bacon, it'll keep ya warm. A little Jameson's would be handy as well. Hang in there.
Good luck,

McDave

First off, that's a hell of a haul. Second, my friend's parents have a ranch that is about in that exact spot. Technically their address is Weston, but they're closer to Broadus
