Just like that. I will try this mesh though. I think I can avoid slits all together and use like shower curtain. I have something in mind. That green mesh will look awesome. ordering it today. That picture shows tan but I will get green. Tough stuff according to the info.

Thanks Don.

Tommy,

I make all kinds of covers out of Tyvek house wrap. I make rain flys, lawnmower covers, tent floors/footprints etc. I usually stop by construction sites and they will give me the remnants of a roll. The stuff is amazing. It breaths yet is water tight. It makes great popup tent walls to keep the wind and rain out. When I first started using it, it was noisy but then I found out you can put it in washing machine then dryer and it gets soft. It takes 2 or 3 washings. The thing I like about it is it packs down to nothing compared to a blue tarp. If you get a grommet kit you can make attachment points easily. If you sew you can put seams on it if you don't you can use Stitch Witchery and an iron and bond your seams for a finished look. Double sided 3M VHB tape also works well.

The only downside is I have never found it without the Tyvek logos all over it. Do a youtube search I'm sure there are plenty of videos of folks using it. I know my brother in law bought a cover for his side by side done on ebay for 35.00.

Something to look at.

ID, thank you for the info. I just ordered that mesh from that site you gave me so I am now committed to that. Mine will hang straight down just like a shower curtain across the opening but all material will be in the trailer and the ramp will go up with the mesh closed as to cover the deck when I'm inside.

That way I don't have to look at tire marked plywood when I am buttoned up. Cant wait to see it done.

Thanks ID!

Lip stick on a pig but I Love the look. 3-4 Hours of staining. Only the individual builder would see the labor in what YOU do. Been up front for months. Focusing on rear of C.T now. Appropriate as soon I will exit all this and simply enjoy my new toy hauler. One cabinet door to build, stain, hang. I am on that now,plus.. the bug screen work to figure out and I am almost done.

Howdy All;

Y'all are both just pups as I see it.
As I mentioned in some other post, y'all ain't old farts ... yet,
I graduated a year late and it was 1968. Y'all were still in nursery school.
My youngest brother is probably about y'all's age  , ;) .

Yea Buddy! That little project came out real nice. It was sure great watching you learn and grow and gain skills and knowledge as you went along. So now we know. There's just about nothing you can't do, just some things you haven't tried yet. But we know you can do it, whatever it is. Gettin' more awesome by the minute.... Damn Proud to know ya.
I really like that backsplash in the kitchen. Is that copper sheets? Very cool look. And the colors with the kiwi and all, well I know the wife had some input there. No way a man could put that together and have it look good. I tell ya, I'd buy all you boys a beer if I could. We all kinda started at the same time,(flboy, m.colley, Tommy.B, Chiefairwrench, Padilen, and McDave) and we're wrappin' them up about the same time as well. Kind of a Motley Crew, but no quitters in the bunch.
What a ride!
Congratulations Tommy, you did real good. She looks great. Gotta name for her? They name ships and other vessels, ya know? Think I'm callin mine "Prairie Schooner Miss Jewellene".

That might make her happy, for a while. Anyways, I like it.
Buy Don and Martin a beer for me, I'll catch up with ya someday.

McDave

PS. Remember that issue with the instant H2o heater and dripping and all? If you look under where the hoses connect you will see a knurled thumbscrew. Open that up and the heater will drain out the shower handle, no more drip, drip drip. Plus it's probably a good idea to empty those when not in use. Corrosion and all. ;)

Mcdave I did wonder what that knurled brass thing was about. Thanks for that tidbit.

Im ordering the vent cover for this. I really should have used self leveling dicor. This looks like oatmeal. It started to rain and code enforcement was watching me that day. I see a spot there on the lower left of the picture. I have trimmed away the excess silicone from the 4 mounting studs that a buried there. Should be able to set right down on top and 4 horizontal clips hold it on. It will interfere with that rotating vent a little but that's all I see as far as trouble. We shall see.
