Hey Glenlivet, nice set up! I really like your escape system on the ramp door. Can you tell me where you found the spring loaded pin and what it's normal use is. I tried explaining it to the people at Home Depot and Rona and they looked at me like I was on crack. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Thanks! That slam latch was just hanging there with the rest of the hardware in Hope's rather modest Rona. :)

HA! looks like you've incorporated many good ideas; nice job on your CT; :thumbsup:

I really like the shower idea;

what did you use as insulation under your wood siding? and what type of siding is that; nice clean finish.

Im curious; I like the black; but is it hot in the sun?

cheers bc Dave

Had enough of coolers, I figured if I have propane plumbed and 120 service I'll just put in a camper 3 way fridge. It was more work than I'd expected!

In with the good air...

Out with the bad air...

A bit light splashed, view in the man door.

And the 'kitchen'. Need to do some sanding and painting on the fridge body, that little camper fridge spent at least couple of years out in the elements on different occasions, but it works on 120 VAC, 12 VDC or propane, like a charm! Peizo lighter, everything. Now I have to stain the wood and put on a bot of aluminum framing and it'll be good to go. Passed the spark test in place and it's cooling like a hot damn. (that didn't make much sense, did it?)
I rescued that fridge from a wrecked camper I found in the bush, and carried back on ATV. When the fridge in my travel trailer crapped out I cobbled it into place for a couple of years and it worked just fine until I happened upon an RV fridge that was the same size as the travel trailers stock fridge, and this one came out again. Now yet again It has a second life as my toy hauler fridge.

Thanks Dave. :)
The fridge is about 20.5 x 20.5 x 25 OD. Yes, good eye Torrys the variable regulator proved too problematic and I nixed it and put an 11 incher on the tank. Dead steady flow now and hardly varies with changing load among the three things it runs. Way better.

I'll have to file those dimensions away.

I am planning to do very similar to what you have done with appliances but was planning to cut the pressure down at the tank just as you have done now.
Guess that was why i noticed it right away. Nice to hear that the flow is good.

Glenlivet, Howdy;

Interesting way you cobbled the regulator and attaching nut together
into one unit for your propane system. Any 'special steps taken to create it???

Hi Hank. That's a 'flame king' propane gauge in line there, mated with a 90 degree male/female 1/4" pipe elbow to a standard 2 stage regulator. The regulators maker calls for it to be oriented vertically like this, the vent pointing down.
Those flame king gauges are notorious for having their plastic stepped seal washer inside the black mating nut, shatter after a short time' rendering the already almost useless 'gauge' absolutely hazardous by its leaking raw propane like crazy.
The 'gauge' depends on reading the unregulated tanks pressure to try to determine the volume of propane remaining in the tank, a failed engineering premise. I replaced the Flame King's faulty plastic nut unit with a sound one of the earlier internal left hand thread style for the tank connection, and when assembled like this the gauge unit with the 90 degree brass elbow is exactly the right length to get support from the 2 stage regulator resting against the side of the 20 pound tank via it's intended mounting bosses. Pure trial and error luck. Serendipity. :applause:

The gauge is still only good for telling you that you just ran right out of propane. Heck, I have a wife for that.
Oh, and one real useful application: If you shut the tank off and find that the gauge needle slowly goes down, you know you have a leak somewhere and it's time to get the soapy water spray bottle out. ;)

Glenlivet, Howdy;

Thanks for the information.
I've always found the best 'gauge' is a scale
to weigh the bottle... or if nothing lights ...
it's most likely M-T :lol:

Your bed is exactly what i have been looking for. I would love some dimensions such as the length and width of each panel and how high off the ground if you dont mind sharing. Also where did you get the piano hinges? Thanks for any help!

Let's see... the bench is 16" wide and the folding part 12" wide. The big side comprises an 11" from the wall solid unmoving piece, and the folding part is 34". 2x3 construction with 3/4" plywood. 75" long. 14" above the floor, for no particular reason. The interior is 68" wide and the bed fills the full width. Piano hinges from Rona. The ATV is 48" wide and it clears each side by 2" when the bed parts are folded up. Legs hinge on 1/2" bolts and are made of planed 2x2 (1 1/2x1 1/2).
