Now I need to build the folding mount for it.

I think that set up is going to look nice. That is how I build counter and table tops. I use oak 1 x ? on the sides and then run the router over it. It makes for a very nice edge especially when I run laminate topping on it.

It always amazes me how you can take some scrap wood like this




and start turning it into something like this

and all it takes is a few tools and a little time. couple more steps and I will have the cabinet doors ready to install.

A little more sanding and a couple coats of poly they will be ready to install.
Not to shabby for scrap wood.

P.S. Reuse of wood is cool. In Brazil they take scrap pallet wood and build sailing craft to sail offshore to fish.
