Back when I designed our Solar Retirement House, I looked at the possibility of using a Demand Heater for Radiant Floor Heating. The Solar Folks back then recommended against it. I would suggest that Folks here look at the fine print to avoid 'gotchas'.
One detail I recall was that Demand Heaters are for heating relatively-cold Water. Running warm/hot Water into them caused Controls and premature Heater failure. This is why, back then, Manufacturers voided the Warranty if used for the application being discussed here. I'm not saying this is still the case; that's where reviewing the Manufacturer's fine print is useful.
Perhaps the input of warm Water caused the internal Water Temp Gauge to work 'too hard'? I recall that cycling on and off stressed Components, and pushed the Heater beyond the duty cycles/day it was meant to work at in an average Home application. Perhaps these issues have been solved.
I passed, based on what I read.
