Wonder what batteries were powering all that trailer parking?

Speaking of batteries.... how are the LFP's??

Hey OTTCT, How do you like hauling that trailer behind your Tundra? I am just about to start my conversion on a 16' cargo and I'm wondering how it will trailer behind my new Tundra.

BTW Great build thread you got here. I'm learning a lot.

Cheers

I'm pulling a 7x16 with a Sequoia 5.7 and it's true- "what trailer?". Also, stock mirrors plenty wide to see down trailer sides is a big plus.

That is a Great price on pre-made cables!! Marine tinned conductors too.

I wonder how flexible it is?

I just got back to Cali from a little trip to pick up some deals on Lithium
batteries. I tried to start a thread to see if others would be interested and
at what price, however some members who im positive own ZERO LITHIUM BATTERIES were more interested in proving how explosive they are.

Well so I just got a small stash of 5,000 ah lithium for my own use, it's always really interesting how someone who has no solar & no Lithium can express their opinion that I have too much of both.

I don't recall 10,000% forsure that I have never expressed my opinion, that any members build was too cheap, or too spartan, or too basic etc, so it always baffles me to get those opinions from others that my tundra which can tow a 17,000lbs 5th wheeler , is like a boat anchor with my 7,000 lbs trailer and still gets 12-13 mpg.

On this deal I was shouting I can get you some lithium for $1.00 a gallon , vs $4 a gallon, but others were busy reminding everybody how dangerous it is.....

Cheers

A Porsche is a better car for racing than a Ford. Not everyone races or can afford a Porsche. Some people just drive to the grocery store.

I just sent my order request in to them today for my battery cables. I wanted Anderson connectors on one set and could not see how to order it online that way. I hope to heard back from them soon.

This is my Cartoon of the day....... for lithium batteries.....

Its funny how this Battery is now 20 years old, but its really just impossible to convince folks its 10X BETTER.....
I can't even call myself an early adaptor because that implies that at least 2.5% of you all are using Lithium Batteries in your trailers, cars or RV's.
but thats not the case I'm the only one out of what 1,000+ guys on this blog forum , maybe one out out of 10,000+ even
you guys are still stuck using a battery that's complete JUNK & is 170 years old......
are clueless how much Lead acid batteries suck vs Lithium but you guys are all EXPERTS.....
in why you wanna wait to upgrade after I get 10,000 cycles, they build better BMS, they wont explode, 20 years service from mine & Lithium batteries becomes totally FREE
This is human nature.......

I was forced to switch because the lead acid sucked & would not run my AC.......
so I'm really not an Innovator or early adopter.... just a guy forced to make a better choice.

Just a reminder, don't drive your truck or trailers onto the railroad tracks & then think you can walk away....
This guy is gonna spend lots of time in jail. Story just happened down in LA California

7 x 18 trailer , mini split SEER 20 - 9,000 Btu heating & cooling, 675 watts running max

5 hour run time - interior temp 76 , exterior temp 84

What is the calculated power usage ?

HINT between : ZERO - to 3,375 watts usage

Overthetop- a few questions, how's the mini split holding up now that you've had it for awhile? I'm looking at it vs a Coleman Mach 8 traditional TV style heat pump. My main concern is long term issues with the circuit boards as they were meant to be stationary vs bouncing down the road.

On install did you do it full DIY, or have an hvac guy come in? My main issue is evacuating the lines, everything else I have the tools and knowledge for. And though I'm sure I can find a vacuum pump it's likely easier to pay the 90/hr shop rate on it.

PS. Where'd you buy the mini split from? I may have missed it in earlier posts. Thanks.
