Gee now I can't accuse you of teasing us northern snow bound riders, with your riding pics.

So onto the Gen. When did you run it and what did it power? My portable AC is an 8000 not 5000 I'm wondering if it can handle that.

Padilen, I believe the Champion will run the 8000 BTU. The only variable to worry about is the startup requirement. It is possible that if the Gen doesn't surge quick enough, the AC itself may turn the compressor off to protect (brown out protection). Some ACs require less startup. It would be great if you knew someone that had one and could try before you buy. It will run ot all day long if it can start it up. If you have access to a peak hold inductive amp meter to clamp on the input cord, measure the startup current then call Champion to see what they say. I'd put my money on it that it will work.

Tommy, I can show you how to hook up the 12vdc monitor/usb panel if you need any help. Basically daisy chain the positive terminals and then the negative terminals. Ground the negative to the Chassis somewhere or homerun to your power center ground. Then run the positve to your power center through at least a 15 amp fuse since you have the cigarette lighter connection. You can also run that directly to the battery if you put an inline fuse in. I have an inline fuse holder for you if you need it.

Yes I'm female. 55 years old, single if you know anyone. I'm just weird, get over it I have .
My bike is a 99 TW200 it's my 7th (?) motorcycle. Started on minibikes then first cycle a used 72-TS90. I passed it on to my little sister. She was considered (labeled) mentally disabled. She started on a 3 wheeler auto, and a moped. I think she was able to ride the TS alone but was to timid. She then bought herself a Yamaha Warrior, 4 wheeler. She called me up and said teach me to shift it! So I went over and rode her 3 wheeler beside her telling her when to shift. She would laugh at me on the 3 wheeler- yelling at me to ride it like a snowmobile! I never did like three wheelers. She loved riding wheelies on that 4 wheeler. She gave her 3 wheeler and the TS to our other sisters kids. She decided a few years before she died to sell here 4 wheeler and moped. To buy a riding lawn mower. She got more than she paid for the 4 wheeler and the exact price she paid for her moped. Wish I could sell things like that!
My older sister is a horse freak, and my little sister could also out ride me on a horse.
Thanks Don for the Gen info!

Thanks.

Tommy, that is a good point. There will be some very small drain. I never worried about that as my solar panels continually charge. You can just turn off your main battery disconnect when you are not camping, or install a switch in the 12VDC line to the panel. I think I have another switch if you want it.

Don that's pretty much what I was thinking as far as the hook up would go.

I have one last DC connection on the Power center but three left on the auxiliary DC buss that I originally had. But that buss is behind panel #1 and is connected to the marine battery switch which is a bear to reach and is only being used for a negative buss right now. That's because the progressive power center did not provide a negative buss for the dc appliances. FYI. 8) Wow I am really learning this stuff.

Think I will maybe utilize the auxiliary buss and leave the battery switch on always, but like you said, Install a switch between the two.

Let me grab a pic, one moment...I have one more question maybe.

That auxiliary buss is an OLD PICTURE, before the PC 4135.

I want to save the last dc hook up in the PC for a smart TV maybe.

So this little unit is at the most 1.88 inches thick. At least the three outlets protrude out the back that far. I think I may build a small shelf above the fold down shelf. level with the top of the 3/8 plywood wall. Maybe 4- 6 inches wide. Running from the side of the door towards the back of the trailer. to at least the end of the lower fold out shelve. Mount the unit directly above the fold out shelve so the phone or what ever can rest on the fold out. Have a little more storage space too for wallet, keys, sun glasses, ect.

Yeah,,,thats the ticket!

I ordered this one as it has an on/off switch. A little pricey. 36.00 bucks but it saves me some trouble and looks good.

What do you guys think?

This chart is useful when you have the voltmeter. You can tell the state of charge of your deep cycle battery just by reading the voltage. You definitely don't want to get below 50% before recharging.

I have the red/yellow/green light for you that is even easier however.

Wow, thanks Don for that chart. I needed that. But if you have that light set up sitting around I Can use it.

Im going to order that acculamator for the water pump today too. It is a must have as I can not run my sink water on low as the water pump stammers very hard. That forces me to use WAY to much water at the sink, Another must do.

I will figure it out but does it go before or after the pump. I may have to reconfigure that set up. Darn.
Another 40 bucks with shipping!!

I ordered this pre- pressurized accumulator for a little more. I will install all this stuff and show it later with a review.

$41.04 for the unit plus 2 1/2 inch male adapters.

this should solve the problem and save a bunch of water!

Tommy B. Howdy;

Accumulators go downstream from the pump and before the faucet.
