Warnmar 10,

I bought what I was told was a heavy duty commercial grade linoleum for a local dealer in flooring. I told him what it was to be used in and he suggested what I bought along with the glue to keep it in place. I followed his instructions with regards to installation. Suitable atmospheric temperature, the glue he sold me, rented a linoleum roller, made sure the floor surface was clean and sanded, no sanding debris, an even thick coat of glue, etc. All for naught.

Cindy,

It was not a good summer but we made the best of it. Hope to get back to our build. Lots to be done, a lot of corrections to be made. The linoleum floor we put in turned out to be a disaster. Gotta correct that first off.

Thank you for the welcome back.

I'm looking at a sheet vinyl floor materials. What did you use and how did it go so horribly wrong?

Definitely kept the trailer warmer this fall than before. Great to stand on. Easy to sweep. Throw rugs on top are keeping them like new. If I were putting a floor in a conversion today, I wouldn't even consider anything else. I'm even putting some in the basement of my house.

I'd take a look at the interlocking floor mats that Gonefishin used. I think that they came out looking really nice. Here is one picture of his floor from his gallery.

I'm just now steam-cleaning the throw rugs I use over my interlocking foam floor, and I love that flooring! Its soft, it insulates, and it has held up well so far despite 75+ days on the road annually, two large dogs in and out, and muddy waders/shoes. The carpets over it have kept it like new. No cracking, no glue. The foam just floats and stays in place. If I ever do another trailer, foam tiles will be a no-brainer.
