Well If I can get over it being here when the bed is down, I can get that 61L cooler. If your going to do it...do it right the first time. The genny can be stored by the bed up or down. When its time to shower just move the cooler some. It could function as a seat there to.

Just two hang ups.

have to install a 12 volt outlet over there. This one will go to the last spot left in the power center and have its on fuse. I can thicken the wire if I need to now.

There is a tie down there that will be underneath the cooler if I cant move it towards the door a bit. It would be rocky. But I think I can it just will not be flush against the wall by 4 inches or so.

This way there will NEVER be a need for ice. Can always restock with beer as you use them god forbid a case or two doesn't hold me over on the initial stocking. ahemm, Daddy likes his beer.

I think I am going to pull the trigger on this today. Amazon or PPL. 705.76 ON AMAZON. They jumped the price by 70 bucks in 24 hours though so I will shop.

The venting would be necessary due to the Ammonia. As the 'fridge is made by humans they are subject to
failure, don't think you'd like to have the ammonia gas fill up your CT while you were sleeping, you'd never
know it and never wake up ...

Hi Tommy, I am seeing a Brand out there called Della. They are sold on Amazon and etc. And are a hundred dollars or so cheaper for the same sizes. Not many reviews. They look exactly the same as the Dometic. I am just wondering if that is the same thing and Dometic just relabels with thier Brand? Sometimes that is the case. You may want to check that out before you pull the trigger. More money for the beer then.

Call me a fool but that's it.

Ordered it from amazon.

No more ice hassle. Can load up the night before and plug it in. This will save hours of frustration, wasted travel time while camping and I don't have to worry about food spoiling or getting soggy. Bagged salad should fit too.!

Hope she likes her new valentine gift! :frightened:

You may want to invest some time vs dollars. There are a lot of machines out there.
For example:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/USED-Norcold-B8 ... 2a7959f1dc
http://www.ebay.com/itm/24Qt-Absorption ... 2424564188
You can set up your ebay to search for those items for you and notify when they come available.

But it had many, many, good reviews and I have a dometic toilet and its awesome so I went for the name brand.

Let you know how it works come the first weekend in March!

For some more of this!
Less that big blue cooler now!
Also don't have to worry about bears or raccoons now.

Hope I did not get burned too bad..

Can't go wrong with the Dometic. It was just a thought. Good for you. Can't wait to see it.

No, But I have been chomping at the bit to get back at it. It is starting to warm up around here. We have only had one 60 deg day since fall. So, soon, very soon! :)

Hey I found this flush mount to the wall set up. Will save me a lot of work. In addition to plugging in the cooler, I could hook up a radio or fan here also.

Ignore the power inverter its an old pic.

•1 x 15A AGC Fuse is included.

Would I need this in line fuse if I run directly to my power center and I could install a 15 amp blade fuse there. Right?

And call it lazy or smart but rather than run wire up to ceiling and over to the wall and then forward and then down the front which requires me to remove a brass panel..whew...
I will stay low and go through the wall there and hide the wire in pex tubing. Zip tie it to the other blue pex tubing.

This winch is 55 dollars from northern tool.

Maybe its over kill and I have to think about it. But it is a pain to lift this bed up and down twice a day.

At full load ( 2000 lbs ) it draws 118 amps I believe. At zero load full speed it draws 8 amps. the bed must be close to 50-60 pounds at initial lift from the down position. Think that 12 volt 3 plug outlet with the 15 amp fuse would do it?

I am trying to make camping as labor free as possible. Two heavy ice coolers...gone. Stepping up into the trailer from the ground 20 times a day...gone. So now lifting the heavy bed twice a day may be gone. Not Sure.

I still have to lift and carry the big blue barrel outside to empty it after showering but I am  about that too. It all adds up and wears you down.

Just fine tuning things but is this winch a bit over the top? Dunno I will think about it though.

The first pic shows how one time I just could not make the eyelet to hook up. I had to use a 4x4 wheel chock to hold the bed up.

If you plan on a folding bed like this, just some thing to consider. Its tight and a little awkward to bend down and lift in that small space.

I really don't know what I will do at this point. Maybe nothing.

Have a great weekend everybody

Have a good weekend Tommy! If you want to really build the bed system to deploy it with the winch, I think it could easily work. I can help you figure it out.... but from what I have seen, you are up to the task... you always get it done, but I'd be glad to help.

My wife gave me this little wide angle lens to put on my phone camera the other day. I tried it out and made two videos of my CTC. A short one of the outside and a little longer on the inside. I think I am going to upload them later today when I get a chance.. they didn't turn out too bad for a phone camera.

Don upload those vids But they will never compare seeing it in person.

I think I would mount the winch where the top chain eyelet is now. Move that chain and eyelet forward to perform the same task. Push a button from the coat rack ares and the winch goes up or down in the rear quarter of the platform while I lightly hold or assist the forward portion. That's It.      57 dollars and that could be it.

I should also mention that the heat generated from those heating units needs somewhere to go so having
both the lower and upper vents are necessary to create the required 'flow' to dissipate the heat so you
won't need to live outdoors to survive it for 3 seasons.
