It may be imbalanced and may or may not make a significant difference to handling depending on how much or if you can compensate with payload. .

Mine is similar unless I have the motorcycle loaded on the one empty side. So with the bike, I am roughly balanced, but without, it is definitely not.

For what I wanted to be able to do with my CTC, I saw no other floorplan that would work for me.

I was concerned and wanted try to mitigate any potential issues. The issue would be sway due to the preloaded springs on one side.

Google SumoSprings and read about them..They are progressive and similar to if you had airbags and compensated on one side with more pressure to level load. My CTC tows fine loaded or unloaded.

I think the SumoSprings help.

Haven’t been updating… I’ve got a lot done. Ac is in and working, the ply is up on ceiling in bath and main area, lights are wired in. I am basically ready to put up nickel gap in bathroom and some of the living area. I still need to make it, I have poplar ordered for that. I suppose one of my next projects should be the cabinets so I can butt my interior wood finishes up against them. We could just about use it as it is. I need to caulk the exterior and my Airhead toilet hasn’t shown up yet. Hope it’s here before end of month.

For the ac I bought a 120v mini split. The outside condenser is mounted on rubber mounts on extended tongue. The indoor unit is mounted above bed pointing to the rear of trailer. The lines are ran through the v nose area.

So I have a question. Even with circuit breaker open overnight this is what my state of charge is. Why isn’t it charging up?

Assuming all is hooked up correctly, is your charger in LifeP04 mode (it appears to be)and putting out 14.4 to 14.6 volts to charge? If it is in Lead Acid mode.. it will only put out ~13.6 V which will only get you to about 90%. Also, any way to monitor cells internally on that battery? Could be a top balance issue internal to the battery where one cell is shutting it down. .

Quote from the place I bought it-

Designed for 6-volt and 12-volt lead-acid automotive, marine, and deep-cycle batteries, including flooded, gel, AGM, and maintenance-free, plus lithium-ion batteries.

I have it in lithium-ion. Maybe this charger won’t work for my needs?

Edit- this was on there also- Lithium Mode is for LIFEpo4 batteries with BMS. Charge rate is 14.6v for use with batteries up to 230 ah.

Measure the charger voltage with it unhooked from the battery. What does it read? BTW... assuming you mean breaker closed?

It shuts off when load is unhooked. But my guess is it’s thinking it’s fully charged at 13.6v or so. So either bms on battery is messed up or charger.

I should have taken another pic. The breaker I’m referring to is between battery and the load center.

Obviously I had closed breaker right before pic as you can see how many amps I’m putting out.

I’m assuming the charger is somewhat wonky…. I ordered a new charger this evening. We shall see…

I tell ya. This charger has me flummoxed. The meter shows today having battery at 14.2v but only charged to 72ah. That’s with basically no draw on battery other than the Renogy meter since yesterday evening. Something has got to be wrong. The question is what.

I bought a Victron smart charger. It doesn’t seem to want to charge the battery either. I’m going to try to get battery replaced.
