first off... great site I got some excellent ideas here thanks to all. My mission is to make a toy hauler as cheap (frugal) as possible.
I bought this trailer at repo depo in Vancouver BC http://www.repobc.com/
for $4000.00 it's a 2007. I think it was a good deal
fist task is to put a window in, framed in today and hopefully finished tomorrow. more pictures to come.

Hi again, Prem my goal is to keep the floor-plan fairly open as I need to haul two quads off and on. everything needs to be removable! sink beds etc: as I want to be able use the trailer for more then just camping.
edcasey I want to haul two quads.. my brothers and mine also I might put my small boat in the trailer and my quad in the truck.
41willys I considered insulating but not right away simply I'm going to use a propane heater for the chilly nights, my roof on the trailer is designed to let light in and really like that feature. if I insulate then I would lose that luxury.
will try and upload pictures as stuff happens forgive me if I don't reply right away that work thing gets in my way LOL.

Anybody using this stuff? I looked at it in home depot and I think I'm going to give it a try.

folding bed? I'm to fat and old to sleep on the floor anymore LOL
any feedback on these would be appreciated.
ratchet strap a couple of these against the wall and it's bob's your uncle?

Those beds can be quite heavy. We're using cots that are very comfortable. Got them at Wal-Mart for less than $25 each. There's also "heavy duty" cots available at Outdoor World (or Sam's Club) for more money that you might want to look into.

Super comfortable bed:

:FNP

Coleman inflatable camping bed ($20 or less) with 3 inches of memory foam on top! The amount of air you put in it determines its firmness.

Many/Most memory foam mattress toppers are 1.5 inches thick. A king size folds in half to make a perfect 3" twin topper. (Mine cost $60.)

I've seen a really nice gypsy wagon setup with a lift/lower bed on cables. Kind of like a pop-up camper roof, but in reverse. Winch it down and you're good to go. Seems like the perfect application for that ... you wouldn't have to make/unmake the bed every time you wanted to fold it up. Can't find the link now, of course :(
