For those who have converted cargo trailers to camping trailers are they still ligth enough to be towed with a car or a mini van?

It all depends on how much you do to it. Mine will just be to sleep in. So i am fine with a couple shelvs and the bed. I made my bed just a bit higher than most. this makes another bed underneth for my two boys. When it was my Contractor tool and office trailer it was heavy. Now my truck thinks something is chasing it down the road not that it is towing something. Keep it simple and your van or car should do fine with it. add more than you need and you will end up having to buy another tow veh.

Towing weight

If you keep the trailer under 1,500 pounds and have trailer brakes, you'll do fine. Mine weighs 1,250 pounds loaded and the trailer brakes make it safer towing than not for fast stops.
