I've never done a CT, but I would guess that if the sides are flat, that extruded polystyrene would be the best.

If the sides are curved, then I would try to find some R-tech. I've never been able to find that in my area.

We are going to try TekFoil, based on a recommendation from a friend who renovates RVs. Not sure what the exact application will be ~ I'm guessing spray glue onto 1/8" luan.

I do not remember the name of the material I got from Home Depot. It was one inch thick and came in 4 x 8 sheets. It is foam and had paper on one side and foil on the other. It fit perfect since my wall studs are one inch thick. I did everything but the floor. I figured the 4 inch foam sleeping pads on the floor would good enough. We will see, I have not been in any extreme temperatures yet.

I am with steveb. The studs in my CT are 1" square steel tube thus the 1'' Dow Super Tuff-R insulation fit perfect. I cut to fit, pushed in place and covered with luan for now. This stuff was a bit pricey but I figured that I am only doing this insulation thing once in this trailer so I don't want to skimp!

I also used the Dow 4x8 sheets. It keeps it warm inside. I insulated my barn doors finally this past Jan and the draft went away.









And it is very easy to work with.

Well................ I didn't.

I still have not gotten to that yet. I have only used the trailer one time in the winter, and summer camping is not as hot as what you are probably used to. I really like what Kevin57 did with his

and have been lurking around a bit to get ideas. With life comes priorities and that is not very high on the list but I will get to it eventually.

There is a 5X8 cargo on here that used the 1" 4X8 dow simply by scoring it on one side so it would bend. It seemed to work nicely.

I'm actually leaving all the build up to John. He's got a connection with a local RV restorer and is planning to use bubble stuff on some sort of bendy ply... all put together with double U trim.

All we're waiting for is the Lotto.

We haven't done any updating in over a year and have only been camping once since May 2010.

That bums me out, but things will get better 'round here soon. We hope.
