Well after five years of wanting to build a Tailgate Trailer. I found this forum and I took the jump. I found this trailer on craigslist and I bought it. After getting it home I found out it had lots of wood rot!!!! So I tore down the trailer and started over.

I started the rebuild in April and I now almost have it done!!!!! Its been alot of work.... more than I thought....Here are some current Pic's. I wanted to cover it in Filon but after pricing it I went with aluminum. Found the white in a 10 X 5 sheet and the red in 4 x 8. I just need to add graphics. I am ready to get the inside of it done. The green rack up front is for my generator. After that is removed I can put in my window unit for overnight tailgating... I know I am sick :)

Its not the normal cargo conversion... It works for what I need it for. Now we can have a trailer to haul camping stuff and also have movie night at the campground...I wanted it to look retro so I kept the cragars..I would love to install gas struts for the cargo cover. Any ideas? Thanks for the kind words.

VERY clean and sharp Bruce!

I like the red and white.

Are you going to paint and carpet the metal grate/step on the front? (I vote for red!)

Its funny you asked about the rack. I was talking to a buddy today about redoing it. I really would like a new one which has pins so I could remove it. I also think I will go back with soild sheet metal where the underside would be sealed.....Its still a work in progress. But yes I think I will paint it red when its done.
