MX Trailer's DONE!

Postby DaveR486MX » Sun Feb 07, 2010 6:33 pm

Well folks, we finished it this weekend. All the electricity works, the overhead light is just enough. I have running water, the water drains straight over the side, but I figure what is the difference between that and dumping it out the door???
You can see the beds folded out now, I have 4" memory foam mattresses on them.
Pretty cool huh??? I put a smoke alarm and fire extinguisher in there just to make us feel better.
I have outdoor carpet that I will lay down when we take the bike out. In fact, we are racing next weekend, I will take some pics so you can see us in action.
I also took some pics of my generator house, it collapses for storage.
Well, there you have it.
I am going to get the underside insulated next week. Check out a website called www.combatcoatings.com it is a spray on insulation. I'll let you know how it goes.

Well, hope you like it!
Once again, thanks for all of your inspiration.

Great job Dave! A real inspiration to anyone wanting building a toy hauler. My wife and I are looking forward to pictures of it in use. We have the same generator as you. The shelving certainly makes for excellent storage for all your MX gear.

Being a bit of a safety nut, I'm glad you included a smoke detector and fire extinguisher. I think they should be standard equipment on every build along with a carbon monoxide detector. A few years ago one of my customer's children were hospitalized due to the exhaust from a generator. The generator was several yards from their camper. The worst part is it wasn't their generator. It belonged to the people camping next to them.
