Hot Water Heater installed

Postby southpennrailroad » Sat May 08, 2010 5:43 am

I partially installed my on demand hot water heater yesterday and it seems to work great. I bought a 12 volt pump $30.00 HF, to lift the water to the heater from a blue seven gallon water tank. I now know that the tank has to be just above the pump for the water to get pumped out. Instead of a hose I bought adapters to clear hoses to provide for supply lines. Mounted the heater to just above the sink in the back right side door. pump is planned for the bottom of the door and on the back outside of the door is where I plan on putting the water storage tank. Will need to get longer wire to supply the battery and a shut off switch to control the power between rinse wash and rinse. I am sorry this should have been in cargo trailer section.

What type on demand heater did you use? Is it the kind you put at the sink for a single cup of hot water, or a big unit for dishes and showers? Just curious.

I ask myself that very same question every time I see or hear the almost universally accepted term "hot water heater"... :?
