Converting Cargo Trailers into TTTs

Yep..Another 5x8

Postby glamoree » Sun Jun 06, 2010 8:09 am

Well here is my wannabe project. I bought this out of Florida on Craigslist in December, my son picked it up for me and stored it for 2 months in his garage. Now keep in mind....I am a cook not a carpenter!. So he finally delivered it to Ky in late Feb. I stripped the interior, windows were next ($35), then the door. My dad help me wire the trailer, 4 outlets, then I had the window A/C in the garage for 5 years, cleaned it up and she works flawlessly. Mounted the a/c.....solid as a rock. Insulated it, put back old wood and paneled over it. Now trim work, finish the front, build the galley and bed. I plan to paint....originally it was going to be root beer w/cream fenders. Due to the heat suggestion here, I will reverse the colors. I will tow it with a honda odyssey, it should do fine behind it hopefully. Pics are now up in my album, each time I tried to view them I had to sort by ascending

Looking great! Do you have you have any more pictures of the interior? Do you do anything on the inside or is it just a sleeper?

The back door area will of course be the kitchen galley, then it will be mostly a sleeper. Some lights will be added and shelving with a TV. I will try to get some more pictures of the inside.

Well I Have done a little work since my last post, we had a busy summer, boy scout camp , vacation in New England, and of course work. Oh yeah my father and his wife sold there house, so we moved them, (she is still working for the post office and they are re-structuring) they have to move on.
So my son and I framed out the bed, I bought the camp chef oven and a new coleman cooler, a/c has been completed and I still need to do the trim work. Added a shelf above the oven, I need to put the back on the galley area and trim work will be last, I might be able to camp this year. Check the album I will attempt to upload them again.[/img]
