I insulated the front V nose area,

I will finish the rest later I just had to get the front done so i could start my cabinet.

Installed the Propex heater,

This is bottom side

I used cheap Sink drains to go through the floor with the intake and exhaust.

I used this Stainless steal sink drain to run the exhaust through the wall below the floor. It was going to cost me over $120 to get a "Through haul adapter" from a marine place that sells the Propex stuff and this cost me $12.

On the front I removed the plastic battery vent and put in the Dodge fuel door. Took some creativity to make it seal but it works well. This i will use as a power and water access door.

Front mount is a temp ply wood job but it worked well for the first trip. The wood will make a good template for the metal work. Image

Some is just temp because i only had a short time before the week long scout camp. Camp was great.

This was from my bed Image

This was 1/4 mile from camp on a wheeler ride when the boys were off working on merit badges and i had a free min.

Lots of work to do but I got a start and a chance to give it a trial run.
I had the essential. Heater, Water, Bed and porta potty. :)

I have a buddy that that owns an RV dealership and it is was in his shop. The couch back is missing so it is kind of narrow to sleep on. I am working on making a back that will also extent the bed wider and fold back to the couch.

Nice work, Crazylegs.

I do see a bit of familiarity, with some notable changes. Yours is more deluxe, with installed heater, sink, and a porta-potty. I opted for a sealed battery inside, and a Heater Buddy portable. I have found that down here (no-snow country) I don't use the heat much, so I don't haul it along unless it is a mountain trip. Likewise for the sink. I use a stainless bowl for my sink. My choice for toilet was a "luggable loo" with WAG bags and I don't haul the loo along if I'm camping where they have pit toilets.

I believe I remember seeing on Expedition Portal's forum a CT with a ramp door with a tent setup that almost doubled the size of the interior with a hard floor. Another CT on this forum uses the ramp for a deck area.

Your looks great! Keep up the great work.

Crazylegs,

Great job, nice build. I'll be following your build closely as I am doing something similar with a 6x10 non-V-nose.

Installed water tank today. I ordered it from Plastic tank mart.

They were good to work with. I was excited because i could custom order the size to fit between the frame rails under my trailer but low profile so i wont drag it off.

I picked up a 90 that will keep my fill spout from kinking and allow me to run it the fill tube through the frame rail. I will be rerouteing them tomorrow night.

My bed was to narrow so i an extending it and making it fold into the couch back. This is my mock up and first ideas. I have some kinks to work out.
