What works well for counter top? I could do a Formica or a molded from Home Depot but that just doesn't set right in my little brain. Theres got to be a better way. This was just temporary to get to my first trip. This Plywood is 1/8 or 3/16" and i will use underneath for the shelving. Any Ideas.

For my desktop in the inside front of my cargo trailer I put in a chemical resistant anti-static pad that I bought online from a lab supply source. I wanted something that was lightweight and would provide a good mouse surface and would be easy to clean. I bought a 24 x 60 inch rolled up sheet and cut it to fit. The tile looks nice but the underlying support would have to not flex and would add a bit a weight. The plywood under my desk surface is only 3/8 inch thick and has a cut down piece of wood at the edge to prevent sag.
I think it is great that people can do what they want but some of the larger cargo trailer conversions can hardly be considered 'Tiny Travel Trailers'. One of my goals was to have a trailer that I can keep for the next 20+ years and not have to own a huge vehicle over the life of the trailer.

My counter top is 1/2" ply, with several coats of polyurethane on it.
Anything in addition just adds weight. And it weighs enough already. But, it depends on what is acceptable to you... and your camp-mate.

Same here. Every spring, and if needed later, I do a light sanding, and put another coat of polyurethane on it.

Very nice looking but doesn't that add a fair amount of weight?

It does. But my tongue weight was a little heavy and I needed something to help balance it out. My whole trailer was already heavier than I had planned so the counter didn't add all that much...but that's a whole 'nother story.

The question is . . .what do you like?
Everything I've seen on this site is about creating a personal image. If you want someone else's idea; buy a commercial unit.
This is about being different;not following hard set rules.
We stop at a rest area and pull next to a 40 foot diesel motorhome . . .are we in awe? Not likely . . .
What do you like? (Needs paisley)

Great points!
Also, it's usually the motorhome people that are in awe of us. I've never walked over to a 40' motorhome to look inside but I have had several motorhome owners come look inside mine

There's a guy in the Houston area that used a solid slab of granite for his galley top. Honest, I've seen it -- so has PlanoVet.
Hey cat, do you have pictures of BigDE's granite galley?

That may not be granite. You see what looks like that on a lot of bathroom vanities. I had one myself. It's made from milk bottles.
