4X8 cargo conversion...???

A friend just offered me his 4X8 Cargo trailer , for a good price ... Kinda small for a conversion , but maybe not ??? Thinking this would be more like a TD inside with the limited space.. I dunno' may have to just leave the wife and dog at home ...hahahaha
You guys think that's maybe TOO SMALL ???

Too small!!! You will regret it. Keep looking for a more suitable size for your needs.

You need at least a 6x10, and a 6x12 would be better (I am finding a 6x10 is the minimum for two people considering what I want to cram in there). Of course hind sight is always 20/20 but I got such a good deal on my 6x10 that I have no room to complain... not to mention I had no idea at the time I bought it what I wanted out of a CT i.e., I was simply looking at a substitute for my Ford Ranger pickup for hauling stuff and some additional storage space at our suburban home (my CT was not originally bought for conversion purposes, in fact I had not really considered a conversion until I stumbled upon this web site). Still, in retrospect, an extra 2 feet would have made a difference in my subsequent design as I go build as to what I can fit in there... of course that is now that I know what I want in a CT.

I was asked what was the smallest space I could be comfortable in. I'm single and thin. Smallest plan I could come up with was 6 x 6. That includes sleeping, refer, stove, table, and shower. The top would be raised over the shower and kitchen.

For one person; 4 x 8 would be 'do-able' but I wouldn't be comfortable with it.

I'm 5'9" and 140 lbs, so I don't need a lot of space to be comfortable.

Yes , everybody's right !!! I'm 6'3" and 240 lbs... I'd be like a sardine in a 4X8... It was a good deal , but I'll pass and keep looking ... 6X12 was the sorta' ideal size I was looking at ... Thanks !!! I just needed a reality check ...

The cabin of the Compact Jr is 6 X 10; The sleeping area works for me, but it's only 6 feet long, so you high altitude guys would have to sleep at an angle.

I disagree with them I'v got a 5x8 and love it me and the wife sleep in it nisely. We (i) do all the cooking out side so there is no galley I had a design for one but saw I was not going to use it so I did not put it in.I put in 2 windows 1 in door and 1 in driver side wall. I say go for it if its to small sell it.

Well, I could always use it for a Band trailer ... we do have a lot of equipment ... Never have too many trailers eh ?
