6.5x12 Cargo conversion Toy Hauler WannaBe!

I finally received my trailer, it's a 6.5x12, V-nose, Aluminum frame, Tandem Torflex axles.

Because time is money, I've ordered it already insulated with windows, roof vent and a RV type door.

I'm planning to use it to haul my ATV so I need to install a Pull-up Bed.
I will build a cabinet for my battery, heating furnace etc...

I have installed some rubber tiles today:



and I did some test with my ATV and my ATV hunting trailer.








A 12' trailer is really the minimum for my needs, I have just enough room in the V-nose to install some cabinets.

Looking under the trailer, I can see that the marine grade plywood has no protection.

What do you suggest to protect it?

I was thinking about using some poly tarp and a stapler with some adhesive.

Or maybe I can just spray some gravel guard.

No tarp.. it'll get holes then hold moisture... paint it or undercoat it

I think it's a good advice, I will use some undercoating stuff.

A tarp could trap the moisture for sure...

Here's how I will build the fold up bed:

Consider the height of the bed off the floor when deployed. You might want to leave enough room for some storage boxes. Some simple plastic boxes with lids will provide a place to keep misc stuff... they could be moved around to a different place during travel with your full load. Maybe things like oil and brake fluid etc... whatever...

You guys ever think of using an aluminum tube frame bed with webbing ... Very thin , taking up less wall space than a mattress.. Light !
For my "camping" needs , a webbed frame with a thin foam cushion and a sleeping bag would be fine ... easily cleaned replaced too !!! Since they wouldn't take up much thickness on the wall , you could put one on each side and have a pass through in between , eliminating any crawling over anybody to get up in the middle of the night . Just an idea !!

Apologies, Just a bit paranoid of real mattresses ... I've had them in vans in the past , and when someone spills "her" drink on it Then It's a big mess ... drag the whole thing out , clean it , dry it , put it back .... been there ...grrrrr!!!!!
