I finished my trailer and took some photos.

I found out that this type AC needs to be out in the open,it stores away under the counter.





I bought this lockable tool box on Ebay and turned it into a battery box

do those portable ac unit work?

This looks like a Murphy Bed setup. How is it working so far? I am looking at twin bunks on set on each side of my trailer which is 8X20. I used it to haul 5 ATVs at one time once empty we would put up cots and air mattreses. Now that I no longer have the ATV I want to turn it in to a nice camper that will stand the test of time (not like the ones factory built. I hope you are enjoying yours.

The first question about the AC it works OK not great,it takes a long time to cool the trailer down during the day it cools better when it gets dark.
I ran it last weekend all night and it was 60 degrees in the morning but by lunch going in and out a few times it was in the 80's I can get by because I normally sit in front of the AC or laying on the couch with it blowing right on me,but when I stand up I can really feel the heat from the ceiling,I was in the direct sun so it's really like being in a large tin can.
I am going to buy a coleman cub because they will work with the honda 2000 I have.
The bed
I had the mattress that I wasn't useing and it was in my way in the house.
it works great but it is heavy to put up and take down I have to drop the bed down then pull the mattress down,and the same putting it back up I have to grab the mattress and stuff it against the wall and then lift the wood bed frame back into place and there is not alot of room to get around letting it down or putting it back up if the ramp is up closed,easier to get around with the ramp down.
I have alot of room inside the trailer if I put the bed back up when I am not useing it,it's a little easier letting it down than putting it back up.

I bought the largest portable AC units as shown in your photos for a small room in my cal lab. It took all day to cool down to 72 deg F and if more then one person was in the room it could not hold it there. I had a regular roof top AC unit installed and it works like a champ. I am getting ready to start insulating my trailer but get to take down the electrical wiring that I installed. I am actually looking forward to starting the conversion into a full blown camper.

What kind of AC and size did you get and did you install it yourself?
I am looking at the coleman Cub I think they are 9000btu I think they can be ordered on line for around 750.00 I am hopeing I can install it myself with some help.
I am guessing the hardest part is getting the vent out and sealing it so it doesn't leak.
I think the factory wanted 1500.00 and because I am cheap I bought the portable AC,I think if I had the overhead AC and use the space under the counter for a mini fridge I would have a much better trailer.

I had a 13,500 btu unit installed. the AC unit cost me 585.00 and he installed it for 75.00. I could not pass it up.

I've got a coleman cub.. I used it on my 7x14. I removed it and kept it for my new trailer.. It worked great on the old trailer. Its a little more expensive ac then a basic 13k unit.. I liked the cub because its low profile and the fact its one of the few roof top ACs my honda 2000I can run.. It was cheaper for me to spend a few hundred extra on the AC vs buying a second 2000i..

Can u tell me where u got the graphics for the trailer I would like to order some graphics. Are they sticker graphics??

I found the decals from a guy on Ebay last year and I bought quite a few so he gave me a deal.
I looked on Ebay recently and there were alot for sale and some were kind of expensive more than what I paid.

Nice job on the bed. I saw that Murphy bed design (with the table built in) when I was searching for ideas on a fold down bed. I haven't even bought my cargo trailer yet, but I've been researching, pricing and designing for almost a year now.
