Year 3 was the year of the second slide-out.

The vertical kitchen lockers were removed and a large locker door installed.

I agree on both counts! Your work looks like it was done at a factory. Very nice execution and craftsmanship.

I tried to sketch out what you've accomplished with your slideout. Alas, i couldn't come up with anything that would work. A look at the bottom of the slideouts would be helpful. If possible, could you show how the slideout looks from the interior when it is partially closed? A picture of your seals would be beneficial too.

Take care and thank you,
Tom

Very well done!

Excellent design, detailing and construction!

I particularly like your across (through) the chassis 'pipe carrier' to carry those superb, detachable, collapsible awnings, and the ratchet straps to ensure that they stay put when deployed.

The respective seat and bed bases to mount the slide out hardware is really neat too.

The bed base housing the great, (3rd!) slide out work top is another lovely touch, as is the lower (site gear) locker.

I'd 'clicked' that the white roof box was a base cut high top modification (confirmed by reading your earlier posts) and the main slide out covered by a lift up (supported) panel which then provides additional 'top cover' is inspired. The design also helps form a weatherproof seal when locked.

I imagine the flat top mudguard provides a nice surface for a wine glass when the kitchen's packed away!

Thank you for sharing your unique CTC, which is absolutely lovely and looks a joy to use. Your inspired thinking and craftsmanship will delight all who see her, and have prompted me to make my first post.

Hi ispy,

Great concept and execution!

Insofar as this is a compliment: It looks factory built.
[E.g. giving a manufacturer -lets say a high quality
manufacturer- the credit for more precise work than the average
DIY-person/home-handyman.]

It surely looks to be the solution for your camping needs in about
as compact a unit possible. You must have tremendous satisfaction
with the results you've achieved.

Keep us posted of any further refinements.

Cheers,
Norm/mezmo

P.S. Any pics of the "process", or the "in progress", or the structure
and methods underneath your fine accomplishment?

Yes. VERY nice job. The two slides DEFINITELY make it!

Am I reading that correctly: LandReefer 2?

Land Reefer 2

anagram of 'Freelander' ..... and it's my second "sleep Trailer"

also Reefer, as in Refridgerator .... as my kids tell me my CT is COOL

:D

On this side of the pond a "reefer" means both a refrigerator and a marijuana cigarette.

Hey iSpy

You are stetting the bar at an impossible height for me  , its a good thing your in the UK or I would be thinking of jumping the SF Golden Gate bridge right now. Any chance you are coming to California anytime soon ?

I can make room at my house for you

Together we could really dream up some, ultra crazy sh** !!!! worthy of a TV show.
Honest to god, I was thinking of something almost like that in a 8.5 x 20, but as my very first project I just did not have the balls, to go that FAR OUT !! So I stayed with my 7 x 16 project.

P.S. what is the black bottle on your roof ?

Just completed a "Slide-On" locker for the CT. (I was missing that second locker :( )

When on the road the locker is stowed in the CT, within the upper bedding area.

On site the slide-outs are errected and the Slide-On locker is placed in position, over a 'V' bracket (similar to a flat wall LCD mounting bracket).

The locker only holds kitchen items .... so it is light.

If you were to build this thing for a living and to sell it on the open market what would it go for ? and how many hours of labor are included in your project so far ? Your work looks really fantastic. Do you happen to work at BMW or MB ?

Congratulations i-spy,

That is one of the most comprehensive professional builds I've seen, especially for an 8' x 4', :applause:
lots would be interested in how the slides work, how you keep rain out, how you bent the aluminium around the openings,
and pictures of the inside.
I live in Derbyshire.
Well done!!

regards Alan
