CT Shower

What do you all use as showers on the cts when there are no facilities? Have any of you installed a shower on a ct? What works well for shower and conserves water(gpm) at the same time?

For vehicular use (with no onboard water heater) I use a Hozelock PortaShower.

Basically, it's a stand alone container which is filled with hot water and pressurized with the built in air pump.

The shower head has a trigger switch, and the unit can be used to store/carry additional fresh water till needed in it's shower role.

Good design, quality materials and construction make it a well made and long lasting bit of kit which is popular with small motorhome owners in the UK.

I like the utter simplicity of the design, which can be used to clean boots or anything else that needs a wash, inside or outside.

I use the big kahuna shower kit. Its very strong,durable and can run on 12v or 110v. It holds about 7 gallons of water. It has a trigger spray also and an 8ft accordion style hose. The shower in my ct. Im got mine from home depot and just cut in down to fit into my ct. Its 32x32 inches. Im about 270 lbs and 5'11. And i can shower without any problems

Those are some really nice tanks I love that idea.
What about shower stalls? Will a standing shower stall in the CT do?

A standing shower stall will fit, you may have to modify it somewhat, depending on how low your CT ceilings are, its very easy, just make sure you get a one piece shower stall. Take a look at my album, that should give you an idea of the possibilities.

I'v thought & revised a shower idea many times; partially because I need a 3 or 4 season shower.

So the question is; what makes up shower components??? pressurised hot water and a sprayer; waterproofing and a drain if on the interior. So you could use a larger rubbermaid bin as a shower pan with shower curtains tacked up; or other hard plastic materials to waterproof ...

I have a functional 2 GPM 12 V sprayer pump hooked up to a sink sprayer that works well; sink is inside the trailer and hose reaches outside the trailer by the kitchen window. You have to be very contious of how much water your using if you dont have a quick source to fill up ... no hotwater yet ... although I could heat a litre of water an put it back in the water tank and it would be warmer ....

sooooo idea #2 is to get some 3" black pcv pipe and glue 2 lengths together in an elongated u shape about 8 ft long should hold about 20 L with a pump connected and put it on top of the trailer with some stainless reflectors and voila; in theory at the end of a sunny day I should have a hot shower; I bought 2nd electric 1 gpm 12 V pump with a sink sprayer .... hope it works! cloudy days I either dont shower or have a cold one ...lol.

Maybe this is even overthought and the shower bag or pressurized sprayer bottle works!

I recycled this clean, unused Garden Sprayer into a temporary Shower with some black Paint laying around. It hit about 110 F degrees by mid-day; that was the point at which I would use it.

The mist output is really fine, so it takes a lil practice to rinse Shampoo out of Hair. Otherwise, it did the trick just fine in the lowest Tech manner possible. I got 2 Showers/fill out of it. The 'Hunter's Orange' Tank you can see was very stout material; ~1/4" thick or so. Pretty indestructible.

2 tricks: the Water temp stratifies, and it cools via the mist as it comes out. So, you want to run the Water temp above what sounds reasonable/non-scalding. Tip the Tank over once before use, and that will equalize Water temp throughout.
