A question for CT owners

I am trying to decide on the size of C/T to purchase to modify. I presently own a Four Wheel Camper I have on my Tacoma that I have completely changed to suit my needs.
I am a commercial general contractor and I want to build a trailer for different getaways and one that my four grown kids can use. I am going to put the kitchen at the rear accessible only from outside via barn doors.
My question for you is this: How much did the interior height of the trailer matter to you? Is 66" ok or is it really nice to have the full 72"?
Thanks for your ideas.
Jeff

I'm only 66 inches tall, but I still like the 72". I never have to worry about bumping my head. I can even stretch a little!

72" for sure. I dont know how many times I have hit my head on the rear door frame (or side door frame for that matter) on my way in or out of my trailer that has a 72" roof. I couldnt imagine the brain damage if it was shorter.

We ordered ours with a 7' ceiling. I think it was $400 for the option. Well worth it to us. I am 6', and it's nice not to feel like a cave troll in the trailer. AC blast from the roof unit doesn't hit me in the face, and the 120v boob lights I put up aren't head-knockers. We stood in one that was 6'6", and it would have worked, but that extra 6" sure feels better. Regards, Kyle

I think if you're going to go with a upright trailer, the extra height is so needed. Mine is a flat 6 foot.I'd love to have the extra room. And yes.. I can bump the old knock'n on the door going in and out if I'm not careful.
If and when I buy another it'll be a tall as I can get.

Owning a Four Wheel Camper. I am used to ducking in and out of a small door opening. I am trying to keep the height to a minimum for air drag and ease of towing off road. I should have mentioned that we are boonedock campers. We camp in the So Cal deserts and in the High Sierras.

MY trailer was built with a height of 78". Working nicely so far and gives the kids in the upper bunk more wiggle room.

I was building my toyhauler to haul a lifted golfcart and I needed the extra height for it to go in easily.
The factory charged the same if it was 6.1/2 of 7ft so I went for the 7ft,it looks tall from the outside but just right when I am inside.

Two things I want in a cargo trailer:
one be able to stand upright while I'm short I may want an AC unit on roof
two wide enought to sleep sideways or if I use two beds wide enought for a small space between them so I can get out of bed with out crawing over the better half.

I have a 6' X 10' that's 6' inside height and a 7' X 16' that's 6' 6" inside height. No way will I go less than 6' 6" inside height again. If I had it to do over I'd have and additional 6" height in both trailers.

Wouldn't mind having an additional 2' length on both of them also, but that's a different subject....
