I seen where people put tape around the window so I ran one strip around my window. That was not enough. When I turned the jig saw the vibration against the paint scratched the trailer in a couple of spots. :x So tomorrow when I cut the next window I will cover the whole area that I will touch. So cover your paint when cutting your windows.

Yep, tape is cheap insurance. I cover every inch where the base of the jigsaw may even think of touching.

Sorry for your oops :(

I used a cut off wheel. I know most like the jig saw but this option worked well for me.

I used wd40 as a lube when I needed to cut an electrical panel at work.
kind of messy but made for a smoother cut I just sprayed a little on jig saw blade as I cut.

like you I had to learn to use enough tape to prevent the panel from being scratched.

Unlike you I could repaint it place it in a 320 degree oven for 10 minutes and it looked factory new again.

It is not really bad scratches you have to be close to the trailer to see them.
That is one reason I bought a older used trailer. I wanted to insulate with foam board but where I live they want $20 bucks per sheet, it looks like I am going to try batten insulation. I put it in 1/4 of the trailer Friday and it looks O.K.
I am only going to use this trailer a couple of time a year so I think the roll insulation will serve the purpose. I will update my album Tuesday to show the insulation. Right now I am trying to figure out what wiring I want in my trailer
I want mostly 12V with only three 120v plugs, TV, A/C , and one appliance plug.
I want 12v fans, lights, radio. I had to got to the eye doctor Friday and get some of that aluminum removed from my eye but by my next off day Tuesday I should be ready to go.
Thanks for the advice guys
