Converting Cargo Trailers into TTTs

Gadet Man's Adventure Trailer is on order. !!!!!

Postby Gadget Man » Mon Jul 25, 2011 10:44 pm

Here I go again, I built a Weekender Tiny Trailer a few years ago from all the help from everyone here on this site. You can see the pictures in my album. I sold it 2 years ago and bought a full sized Toy Hauler camper. It was nice but it was huge and I hated towing it. I always knew that I would take everything I learned from my first build and build another trailer someday.
So about two weeks ago I sold my big toy hauler and started my search for a nice cargo trailer to do a conversion on.
Today I ordered a new Team Spirit 7 x 14 tandem axle trailer with a 3 foot V-nose. it comes standard with a 6'8" ceiling height, white vinyl walls and ceiling, full ramp door, roof vent, brakes and 7-point plug, etc. etc. I added some options including the 32 inch RV style door with screen door and piano hinge, (2) 15 x 30 windows, and extra roof vent for future A/C unit, and a 20 x 30 baggage door on the front right side V.
My plans for the Adventure Trailer are (2) Murphy beds, Porta-Poti, furnace, sink with water, plus lots of little special touches.
I want to be able to haul my motorcycle inside, or my (2) 12 foot kayaks, or several bicycles, or even a lawn tractor if the need arises.
The trailer will not even be ready for 4-5 weeks. So Now have time to order and buy all my parts.

Wish me luck, I'll be sure to post lots of pictures as I go along.

sounds like a good plan to me.
I believe this is the first time I have heard of a Team Spirit cargo trailer.
I'll have to check them out.
I found a HI-LO trailer not to far from me for a good price I'm headed there today to look it over
so I may change what I get a CT still would fit what I want it has to do with what I can physically can do.
I'm not complaining just facts are facts getting old and disabled at the same time really sucks.

I know that feeling. I'm not young and I've been disabled since June of '99. It sucks.

Sounds like you got a good plan. Both the trailers I converted are toyhaulers.. Started out with a smaller one now I went to a 7x24 with a front V.. Kinda of big compared to most on here. But we needed almost a 19' garage for what we hall. As you probably know in a commercial toy hauler getting much more then a 12' garage= Huge heavy camper.. I'm around 4500-5k dry. We use ours for 2 polaris RZRs most of the time, But we also have a couple Kayaks we hall some times!
