I am trying to decide if I want to add the extra 6 in to a 6 x 12 v nose. Any advise?

Get the extra height! I have both a 6' and a 6' 6" inside height. I'll not buy another less than 6' 6".

I really doubt that an extra 6" inches will make a difference - except in extra cost. Our camper is 5'2" inside and I can stoop easily to get dressed. Everyone asks - about the headroom - my reply is: when I sleep I'm not standing, when i eat, I'm not standing, etc - you get the picture? Unless you plan to spend a lot of time in the camper - then why do you need the full headroom - IMO

Get the plus height... Not everyone is short and most people like to stand up.. Even if you can if you ever go to sell it the low ceiling will hurt you. Besides with extra height you get more room for storage.. Any shelfs or cabinets will have that much more room..

my trailer is 6 tall and with the insulation and all it's less than that.
I'm 5'10 and when the trailer is parked out in the full sun.. even with ac on.. you know your head is extremely close to the heat of the top. I'd like a 6'6" when I "upgrade" next.

I am 5'4 however I want to be able to flush mount a 6 in bunk that I will lower when its my two boys with me. I still need to figure out how I am going to do the mounting.
If I put the base of the windows 30 in from floor top is 60 in then I would have over a foot for cabinet height.

Go the extra 6", I would never think about having less than 6" headroom.

We went with the extra 6" in our CT. Glad we did. We are both 5'10" and at least when we are standing up, we don't get the feeling we are going to hit our heads.
Also allows for extra cabinet space! Always can use extra cabinet space.

Had ours built at 7' in the center, rounded roof, tapering to 6'6" at the edges. So very glad we did this! I am 6', and hate feeling like I am in a cave. The extra height makes it feel much larger inside. Room for 120v boob lights on the ceiling, and I don't whack my head on the AC (roof mount). We looked at the 6'6", and it would have been fine, but for a couple hundred bucks more, the extra is welcome. I don't go camping to sit inside a trailer, but we have already been forced in by rain, and blazing heat a couple of times. Sure makes it nice, and it would be even more important to me in a smaller trailer (ours is 24') For us, it was a matter of "Do it now, or regret it forever". Regards, Kyle
