I am loosing track of how many people are planning to purchase and modify a cargo trailer in the next few months. Maybe you could give us all an indication of when you would be getting your new or used trailer and the size you want. I am looking forward in seeing a lot more build pictures to carry me though the winter as mine is covered up and will soon be cover in snow.

Well, I already bought a trailer but haven't had time or $$ to do anything with it yet
Besides I'm thinking about trading up soon. I have a 5x10 and it's only 49" high inside. Want a 6x12 with extra height.

That's me! I have a 6 X 10 and a 7 X 16 and all I've managed to do so far is buy a few items and paint the inside of the 6 X 10....

I should have the finalized quote sometime today or tomorrow and will then be making the order. I think the build time is 4-6 weeks, so I should be picking it up in Georgia sometime around the middle of Jan.
I'm getting a 6x12, 6' height, V-nose w/ a "narrow" axle. (the tires/fenders will sit inside the trailer).
I'm getting a bunch of other options from the factory, but those are the main ones. With any luck, and a light work schedule, I should have it built by summer as it won't be that complex of a build. The only hard part will be a slide out kitchen. Not sure how that will work just yet.
Build thread will be up once I make the order.

I have been putting off buying the one I want a 7X12 v-nose due to my ongoing health issues.
I really don't see it getting much better anytime in the near future so maybe I should just jump in and get one.
I want the 7 foot wide trailer because I plan on having twin bunks running forward and aft
with enough space between them to make getting up in the middle of the night easier no one has to craw over the other.
nothing fancy space for clothes to hang, counter for cooking, storage cabinets in front and maybe down sides over beds, and of course a place to store the porta-potty.
pulling won't be a problem my last trailer was a 26 footer so a 12 footer would be half that give or take couple inches.
yep that's what I want what I get if anything is the real question.
ol' pete still kicking just not very high.

Started the conversion then went and moved our daughter to Houston.
Trailer is now on hold as it is full of her stuff but hey that is okay she is now here.

Started on a brand new 5x8 in September. Finally at the sawdust stage now. Did a poor job of taking pics as I went, so figure a "build" thread was lost and a "bout done" thread was my only recourse.

We are planning on Febuary-want an 8x18. We keep going back and forth on options. George is claustrophobic so windows and screen door are non negotable- no stealth camper here.I get to insulate it myself, I want to know how it's put together.I really enjoy the forum.

New Interstate 1 6x14 vee nose in charcoal grey. I got the rv door upgrade and the 6.6ft roof. Made the order about two weeks ago. I was told it would be 2-3 weeks. That's fast!

Built in Michigan and needs to go to Wisconsin so I guess that makes sense.

Finally found a good deal on a used 7x7x16 with ramp. Planning on trying to pick it up after Christmas. Toy hauler project. This has been in the mental planning stages for almost 2 years. Thanks everyone for all of your valuable information and ideas. I will return the favor and post pics when I have something worth your time.
I have a 25ft 92 fifthwheel that cost me way too much to haul around and it does not fit into what we like to do.

The roof is in bad shape so it would cost me more to repair than what the trailer is worth or what I would get out of it if I sold it after repairs. All the appliances work well so I am planning on using them and anything else I can use in the conversion. After the conversion is complete, the fifthwheel is going to the scrap metal yard. I should get atleast $20 for it.
