Here in Canada we have a big box Tire store where I was able to pick up my solar panels regularly priced at $250, on sale for $100. Each box comes with a stand for portable use, 7 amp charge controller and mounting hardware. Very easy to wire as it is all labeled and uses two pole plugs. Each of the two hinged panels are 1 ft by 3 ft for a total of just over 2 ft x by 3 ft when open. They are made by blue planet and said to be capable of putting out 30 watts / 2 amps. The unit is small enough closed to store in a closet when traveling. Personally I like to park in the shade so being portable and able to track the sun manually is what I will be doing most of the time.
The quality is good... It will stand or you can use the supplied hardware to mount it to a roof. The mounting hardware could be used to mount a hardboard back to the unit as it is glass on both sides when closed. Also comes with 10 foot of cable plus 6 bonus ends, male cig, female cig, bat clamps, bare wire, barrel plug and test LED.
The included 7 amp charge controller if bought separately is $40 ...deduct that from the $100 and each panel is only $30! Each controller is rated at 7 amps and should be good for 3 boxes of two panels leaving some spare controlers.
I bought two boxes for $200 and saved $300! This should help keep my new 12 volt compressor type chest fridge going for some time.
If your looking for such a thing don't delay...sale ends feb 2. Hope this post helps somebody out.

BC Cargo: Thanks for the solar panel info and PM.

I have been waiting for these panels to go on sale and will stop at the local store tomorrow after work and also purchase a couple.

Edit: I called the store and they only have a few in stock so I went down and picked up a couple of the panels. I will assemble one panel tomorrow after work and post a couple of photos.

Great stuff...glad you got them before you had to deal with rain checks. You can now plan on where to stow them inside or dream about mounts for the roof.
I am going to remove the red & black wires that come out of the charge controller and attach the ones with the quick connect ends directly to the board. My plan is to use only one controller but have the other one on hand as hot swappable unit. The second 10 ft cable I want as an extension to reach for the sun.
Let me know if you are going to use it portable and I will take pics of the wiring.
