Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

I need a pic of your flooring was thinking about going with wood flooring you know the wood strips. Do I glue it or nail it or do I lay vinyl and glue it. Please help me give me some advice and pics.

I went with a no glue, no pattern vinyl floor from HD. Easy project. I used a tape at the front entrance and then at the rear. I used a sealer where the wall and floor met. Then the FRP panels went up.

My trailer is a 7 x 12 and it cost me $62 for the vinyl

I went with a carpet remnent in the sleepy side of the barn and placed the pergo laminate flooring in the entrance/galley. One square of papertowel and some spray wax and the kitchen floor is mopped and waxed

Flooring?? Flooring ??? In a teardrop ? Jus a moisture barrier is all that is needed. Linoleum( vynil). I put sum "spensive bamboo floorin in my teardrop and ripped it out to save weight( The bamboo weighed 75 lbs !) Jus put styrofoam insulation boards on the floor...what a weight savings !

I need something that is tough and can be washed out so I went to G-Floor. You can do a search on G-Floor for more info and where to buy in your area.

this is a very inexpensive plastic snap together floor I found at home depot. Not heavy, waterproof and except for a couple cuts you need to make, easy. Also durable.

I'm with you on cheap and snap together. Not so sure about waterproof, unless you sealed all the joints with silicone...

Actually, if you're planning on an eighth in of water coming up from the floor then I think you'd be out of the water. BTW, why does one have to have a waterproof floor. Are the floors leaking?

Thank for ideals I like the wood look but i also like the diamond plate look for rough rugged look not sure if I'm going to be running a ATV on the floor yet

If you're hauling bikes or ATVs, I'd vote coin mat/G-floor stuff or some kind of roll-on Rhinoliner type stuff.

Coin Grip flooring is cool, can also get grid plate look but that may clash with your cabinettes

Here is a pic from my initial work on my CT Conversion. I used the 1x1ft industrial glue down tiles you can get at Home Depot. I got blak and white as you can see to make the checkerboard look. It was much less expensive that the checkerboard lanolium sheets you can buy and gives me the look I want. It shine up real nice with future floor wax.

I vote rubber floor. They sell it in the raised coin pattern or diamond tread. Its tough, waterproof and much cheaper the spray in bedliner Like line-X or rhino.

And for the guys asking why do you need your floor waterproof.. One because you will have to park wet machines on it at some point and two when its time to clean the mud out its much easier if you can do this.

I started out with the peel and stick and it looked great for a while but it started to come loose so I stripped that out and went with a solid layer of vinyl flooring and it just would not lay down right it always had a wrinkle and it just bugged me.
I finally bought the laminate flooring that snaps together and I am really pleased,it cost about 100.00 for my 7x16 the same as the other type flooring?
I wish I had done this from the start so I wouldn't have wasted the money and time on the other type flooring and it really looks alot better than what I had,I didn't buy the cheapest but less than a dollar a square foot but in hind sight I think I should have paid a little more and got a better looking floor..but it looks great really pleased.
I know everyone wants something different but I knew that I was going to be camping next to a lot of high dollar motorhomes and toyhaulers so I felt like I needed to make mine as comfortable as possible and most people have been surprised when they look inside?

I'd like to see a picture on how it turned out. I bet it looks good. You are right... like everything, we all have a different purpose on mind for flooring and etc... that is why there are so many choices out there.
