HELP ME DECIDE

My delimea is...
I have a 7 X 12 X 6H.
My GF has a 6 X 10 X 5H.
Hers pulls like a dream but has barn doors and 13 or 14 in. wheels. (also a side door)
Mine has a ramp door with NO spring help in lifting, (side door) and 15 in. wheels.
Both are single axles.
I want to convert mine (7 X 12 X 6) to a Toyhauler/camper. This would haul 2 bikes. (Honda VTX1300 & V Star 1100) both big bikes.
She just wants to add some storage and be able to haul the same bikes in hers.
Hers doesn't hurt my MPG too much, no idea what mine will do. Hers fits behind my Tahoe like a glove.
Finally to get to the point....I have thought of trading (my paid for) 7 X 12 X 6H for a 6 X 12+ X 5 with a ramp with spring assist.
Can I find an add on spring assist reasonable? I like the room of my trailer and the MPG sacrifice may be worth it.
We ride more than we haul so the hauling would be minimal I think.
Give me your thoughts.....and yes I am new although I have been lurking for some time

Ken,
Yes there is and it's worth the $. http://www.etrailer.com/question-26884.html has one for $123.95 on sale. You might notice a little drop in mileage with a 6' trailer but to me the extra foot in height is worth it. If you real concerned install a wind deflector on your Tahoe, but generally it would take a lot of fuel savings to off set the cost of the deflector.
