I have owned 2 scamps both 16 footers the 5th wheel looks a little funny sorta like a 16 footer with
a front added on but they are roomy and there are several in our scamp club
I still belong even tho I sold my scamps just a nice group of people
good luck on your build looks interesting one I'll be watching.

Thanks guys I'm trying to do it right the first time not just doing it to get it done. Using what I want not just going with what ever will work I wanting it to function the right way for my use which is camping and dutch - oven cooking. I just got back from picking up my material e-track 3 windows with trim rings, e-track board clamps, some stuff on back order. Going tomorrow and get insolation and inside wood and maybe FRP ceiling. If anyone can give me advice on how to install the trim rings with the window they are 18x12 sliders but need 1 1/2 wall space looks like i need ro run a bolt from outside all the way threw the inside ring and compress them or do I put them tight and build a wood frame to hold them. Please help me with this.

Are the windows+ring too thick for the trailer walls or too thin? If they are too thick you'll want to build an extra frame that fits between the trim ring and wall paneling to make up for the extra thickness. If you look at my build thread I think there's a cpl pics.

Hi all working on finishing floor got 2 coats on it and 1 more to go hope tomorrow if it don't rain again then can't walk on it for 2 days Then I have 18 days to finish trailer or least have it camping ready going to Daingerfield Tx state park and camp with my daughter and anyone that wants to come out. I have to insulate walls, put in windows 3, install wall board and ceiling board RFP, add cabinets and counter top maybe a closet. Will post more pics soon.

bctoys,
If you've never been to Daingerfield State Park you will enjoy it. It's really nice and does have some secluded turn around camp sites. East Texas does tend to be hot and humid this time of year. Enjoy your trip.
