Hi All,
I pick up our new trailer this weekend. First step will be to insulate but I would like to run wire's before closing the walls up. I want to put several 110 outlets in and at least one outside. What type of wire should I use. I have plenty of 14-2 with ground laying around, is this what I need????
I also have 4 windows and a cargo hatch to put in. I have no clamp rings for my windows. Do I really need them?

Thanx
Steve

First welcome to the group Steve. You can use 14/2 w/grd for receipticals but if you are going to install a roof top a/c or a window a/c i would run 12/2 w/grd for it and install the wire for roof top before you install ceiling panels.  Remember we love pics of your build :pictures: :pictures:

first welcome
you say there are no clamp-rings how will you hold the windows in?
do you have a plan on how they will be secured to the trailer?
I also used butyle (sic) tape under one I replaced in a travel trailer it seals real well others have used silicone
to form a leak proof gasket
again welcome
pete

be sure to use plastic or rubber bushings in your metal studs so the wire won't get cut through vibration. don't need a fire in the wall or a energized metal skin. gfci protect the incoming 120v line.
